Jungkook mentioned La La Land, Titanic and The Notebook as his favorite movies in the recent RS interview.

Although different, the main themes of all three movies primarily revolve around love, the struggle against external obstacles (societal class, tragedy, career demands), and the ultimate impact of the choices made in pursuing, holding onto & losing that love or personal fulfillment.

La La Land (2016)

This musical that centers around a jazz musician and an aspiring actress. The central theme is the sacrifices that are required to achieve their dreams in Hollywood. Their mutual support & great love allows them to become the people they’ve always wanted to be and to finally succeed. But prioritizing their individual passions and careers means they eventually have to part ways. It’s a choice that leads to both happiness in their careers, but also an immense melancholy of their lost love.

The movie centers around the poor artist Jack and rich debutante Rose, who fall in love with each other aboard the ship Titanic in 1912.
