I often #practicescales and #arpeggios #startingfromthetop This allows me to be more alert to my hand and arm position in the upper register. Also, since I’m changing to the next #arpeggio at the top, my mind is most alert at the most challenging part of each arpeggio. Additionally, changing from one arpeggio to the next makes it clear how the upper position hand shape changes from one to he next. I learned and recorded this last night... I think I was overly ambitious! I went a bit overboard with the layers and then ran out of time to edit it, so there are some mistakes but some cool moments too. It was a lot of fun to make.
