Sometimes I wish we'd get more Tatooine Padme, but unfortunately we live in a world where Padme was and is treated poorly by all involved and so most of those stories are mired by an unreservedly fluffy Anakin-focused love-story :/
Give me repressed, angry Padme who clings to relevancy and generosity by small actions that improve the lives of those on-planet, and slow and steady support for the homeworlders who strive to dismantle the current wretched state of the Planet.
Also she gets to wear a diaphanous space poncho, for funsies warding off sand and whipping winds on direct skin.
New video up celebrating @nas @hitboy and the #KingsDisease series. We talk #legacy #relevancy and where #HipHop #music goes from here. https://www.instagram.com/p/ClQA8RJOZPE/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
The cautious path merely guarantees a slow slide to irrelevance.

For my generation, this was an incredibly beautiful, scripted minifilm. You don’t know what it was like to be in that MTV generation where the video cut out nearly all the first 30 seconds because they underestimated the audience’s carrying capacity (re: their own patience), and had no cultural relevance with Mozart or the Classics Courts. WHICH WAS STUPID BECAUSE MARK HAMILL’S FILM WAS OUT AT THE SAME TIME IN OUR PODUNK SCHOOL YEAR. Luckily for us, we had teachers like Stella Butler in our high school who gave us credit for watching and analyzing videos like these.
Rise is a underated cartoon with phenomenal animation and fun writing. Nickelodeon is sabotaging itself by clinging to only "successful" shows. It is a shadow of the Nick they use to be, losing their innovative passion. The only reason they are still relevant is SpongeBob and Avatar the Last Airbender. If they continue they will be forgotten and even SpongeBob will become irrelevant.
