Yesterday the Washington Post published an article by Beth Reinhard examining the philosophy and the power of Russell Vought, the hard-right

"Project 2025 [is] the plan to gut the nonpartisan federal government and replace it with a dominant president and a team of loyalists who will impose religious rule on the United States." 

There is so much of this post that I wanted to quote, I decided to just urge you to read it for yourself, especially the long quote by Thomas Jefferson.

This is what awaits us if the Republicans prevail in November. Please vote blue.

Augustine’s rule! This manuscript explains the Rule in 7 chapters, with the text of each rule followed by exposition or commentary. It includes a notice of different texts of the Augustinian rule with incipits and a list of orders living under Augustinian rule. It was written between Germany and the Netherlands in the 15th century.
