            Billie narrowed her eyes at him, even though he was being cute. “Don’t try and distract me from being angry with your general adorableness. Plenty of women stare at you. This time it was Mandy.” She pointed towards the blonde across the room who now had her back turned towards them. “She was staring at you like you were a piece of meat, and I always catch her sneaking glances at you. She’s not very subtle.”

            Billie wasn’t expecting gifts this Valentine’s Day, even from Finn. Though her and the former champion have been very close these past few months, they weren’t really in a relationship. So, when he put the necklace around her neck, she was surprised (especially with how expensive it looked). She parted her lips to say something when he turned her around, but then he kissed her and she completely forgot what she was going to say. “Wow... Happy Valentine’s Day” She breathed out when he pulled away. That was a... different kiss than they’ve shared before. “Y’know, you’re the best non-boyfriend I’ve ever had. But I feel a little bad cause I didn’t get you anything.” She touched his face, fingertips combing gently through his beard. “I can make it up t’ you though.” She leaned in to kiss him again.

            Her jaw clenched at his questions. She didn’t mean to say it; are rather, the words were completely false. She didn’t hate him. Not by a long shot. But she wished that she did. Billie wished that she could push Finn away like she had done with other men. But he was too good. Far too good for her, and she knew that. The looks people gave them reminded her of that every day. The judgmental glint in people’s eyes, and she could practically hear their thoughts; “what was sweet Finn Balor doing with a witch like Billie Kay? He could do better.” She wasn’t a fool. She KNEW.

Tye liked to joke that she had a black heart, and right now she wished that were true so she could push him away. So she wouldn’t have to deal with those stares. She was used to judgment, but not in this way. Not in a way where she couldn’t prove them all wrong.
