The dragon's eyes widened as the phoenix walked towards him. His smirk widened also. He had been aware of Relta's beauty and courage before, but the idea of a truce took him aback. "You know what happens when two divine creatures meet, dearie," Chaos crooned. He felt the temperature between them rise and he gasped with awe.

The door to the storeroom was open, but Michael didn't care. He was too busy punching the heavy bag in front of him. The ancient chain rattled as he dealt blow after blow to the bag, only stopping when he smelt Relta's familiar scent that mingled with the strong earthy wooden smell of the storeroom.

“You should be aware by now, Chaos, that you — nor anyone else — owns me, be it mind, body, or soul,” Relta stated bluntly to the deity of discord, holding her chin up high and keeping herself steady as she felt an overwhelming wave of Chaos’s powers. “No matter what anyone tries, no one can own me,” she laughed, brushing off his powers.

A peal of laughter left the dragon's mouth as he lingered oh so close to her. "Believe me, Relta," he smirked, "nothing makes me happier than a challenge." His eyes gleamed with golden fire as his powers lashed against her. "I always expect some resistance. Otherwise, that would not be chaos. I know you can feel it." He looked down at his blackened claws and felt a surge of pride. "I have faced stronger opposition than you," he whispered.

The vampire snorted at her, before turning around. "Do you think I wanted this?" he asked, "I wasn't expecting someone of your… magnitude to find me and…" He trailed off, overcome once again by her scent and pure seductive instinct. "I've never felt anything like you before. You make me weak just by looking at you and…" He didn't realise he was staring at her lips until it was too late.

Michael sniffed the air and narrowed his eyes. He smelled old blood, much older than him. "You are different. You're not used to meeting other vampires." He stepped forward. "You are usually the top dog, aren't you?" He looked into her eyes and shuddered. "Who are you?"

“We’re on the same side now, whether you like it or not,” Relta informed Chaos.
