Look, I’ll be honest: I’m not entirely thrilled with the fact that I’ve decided to use a made-up word (lol… “made-up word,” as opposed to not made up?) as one of the foundational premises of this blog’s objective. After a bit of research, however, I’m even less ecstatic with the more apparent and familiar alternatives: affirmation and mantra.

The #rememberables tag will be used henceforth to track tiny phrases which can help me to return to a more realistic perspective, with regard to the importance of things, or rather, of myself in relation to them. It is my hope that they may be of some use to others.

To be useful to others, by the way, is the primary aim of this blog, and the desperate goal its author, zhou doucette.

The first, and certainly most important of these phrases is the title itself:

Worse Has Happened to Better People.

If that phrase doesn’t mean anything to you, you either don’t need this blog (and deserve a celebratory hug), or you REALLY need this blog (and you deserve an encouraging hug). Try saying it aloud the next time you’re inconvenienced, annoyed, or feeling picked-on.
