For the past 50 years
Looking back on the past 50 years, we've learned that inspiration knows no boundaries. Let's continue to inspire and uplift each other, creating a world filled with endless possibilities.
The Things We Did that Made Us Happiest
Reminiscing about the things we did in the past grants us mixed emotions. Surely, there were moments we now consider cringe-worthy. But, there were also moments that make us think that life is not as bad as it seems. Remembering the days when the cost of happiness was for free lifts our spoiled moods. Just imagining the pure laughter of the child we used to be makes us want to relive that happiness. The things we did make us wonder when the purest of happiness pays its visits to us again.
Remembering the Things We Did
Days are now a drag and the color of life fades gracelessly before us. We rush to our work and enjoy the achievement we so worked hard for the past years. But, somehow the happiness we gather from this enjoyment fails to fill the hole of emptiness. We look back to the things we did in the hopes of tasting again the purity of an innocent happiness. The days of the past blurs in the course of time. Yet, there are circumstances in the present that paints our memories vividly. Consumed by nostalgia, a torrent of childhood memories bombards us. We yearn to linger in the past to feel happiest again. But, of course, the reality of life dismisses that thought. Remembering the things we did is our limit. Going beyond that line is impossible. The growing desperation to be stuck in the memories filled with blind love and sheer happiness further disturbs an already disturbed mood. But, deep down in our hearts we know it is wrong to go back in time. The experiences we gather as we age stain our happiest childhood moments. So if we relive what we desperately want to, the feeling becomes entirely different. This is because experience determines our reactions toward anything. Having stated this, we realize that the things we did that made us happiest is something we want to preserve. And, reliving them without our lost innocence means poisoning those moments. It is enough to take a moment in the present to cherish the past. Defying the concept of time in desperation for a rewind is absolute folly. Always remember that it is almost impossible to satisfy desperation. Yet if done so, satisfaction is only momentary and the efforts we exert from our desperation become vain. Read the full article
