location — wolf wild rescue.
character — @remiwilder
His duties at the rescue had essentially been cut in half. His father, or the man he had considered as such for thirty-four years, had taken over most of the hands on responsibilities that the eldest Williams had always carried. It was a low blow and a form of retaliation, or so he'd assumed. The evening visit had only been required because of the house call to their vet of choice and the need for someone to be there when she arrived. As someone he was familiar with in more ways than one, it had been no problem for him to sneak out of the local build he was working on to ensure he could be there on time. "Thanks for doing this," he greeted with a nod towards the woman before he turned back towards the pin in question. A ranger had dropped off an injured wolf pup, but the extent of the injury was unclear. "If I had to guess, she's about nine weeks or so. She won't put much weight on her right front paw. She's let me get close to her a few times, but she's scared." Rightfully so, he failed to mention. In a world where parents were supposed to protect their young, he knew what it was like to feel abandoned and uncared for. Atlas choked down his own frustrations, his gaze drifting to the vet. "Just tell me what you need from me and I'll do it. I just... I want to make sure she's alright." In a time where the sharp bite of the chilly breeze was upon them, the last thing he wanted was for an injured pup to be on it's own. "We can move her inside if that's easier. I've just sort of kept her here because I didn't want to make it worse by trying to move her. I was thinking about staying up at the rescue tonight with her anyway. I don't want to stress her out with Aurora, but I don't want her to be alone either."
