An episode or two back, Glenn Talbot took the Zephyr from the Remorath ship saying he needed it to breathe. Such a little detail but necessary for us to understand why flinging him into space was the only viable solution to defeating him.
I agreed with May’s decision to make the Odium unusable. Sure it may have killed Talbot but who knows what destruction he would’ve wrought under its unfluence.
Much like future Elena said, saving Coulson would mean the world’s destruction. So, Coulson took that choice out of their hands, giving Daisy the centipede serum as a last ditch shot in defeating Talbot. This may not matter too much, but I wonder if the fact it came from her mother gave it an extra punch for her use?
For an episode titled “The End” the idea of a character death wasn’t improbable. Fitz dying was an emotional moment. I was initially confused as to why they talked about seeing him again at Coulson’s retirement party until they mentioned him being frozen in space, the way he got to them in the future. Though it is possible to get him back, that begs the question if doing so will alter events. No Fitz getting to the future means no way for them to get back from the future.
This also begs the question if Fitz’ death also affects Deke. I guess that’s why he was written to leave near the episode’s beginning, so that little mystery is left for us.
I was all for Daisy’s decision to put Mack in charge. Out of everyone he is the most vocal about making sure certain lines aren’t crossed, something I admire in leadership.
Coulson may not have long to live, but the short time he has I’m sure he and May will live to the fullest.
Is this the end? Only time will tell, especially regarding the events of a certain film.

The blame game and tension at the beginning at the episode was not surprising. The past few episodes have involved the agents making decisions that aren’t unanimous, to say the least.
Elena’s talk with Mack about her decisions brought up May’s experience in Bahrain, the well-known Cavalry mission. What May told Elena made a lot of sense to me. What she did is questionable in terms of motive and outcome and though it was extreme, it has happened and all she can do is accept what she did, take responsibility, and learn from it.
Glenn Talbot taking in the gravitonium was something I didn’t expect. I’m surprised the machine originally meant for infusing Ruby with the gravitonium was still working. Dismantling it may have potentially been volatile for the gravitonium. What’s more surprising is how it’s not messing with his head. Maybe his damaged brain is a factor. Still, I can’t deny the risk allowed the agents to survive.
I admit to having to look up the centipede serum and the last time it was seen was with Deathlok. Seeing Daisy have to grave rob her mother’s corpse is rather disturbing but after seeing the world’s destruction, what else can freak them out?
Next Time: Glenn Talbot’s got the power, and it’s a bit terrifying.
