It seems I just keep falling into a string of financial bad luck. So I could understand if no one really sees this and wants to help. But if I opened emergency commissions for like $5, $10 bucks for doodles and or small sketches would anyone want to help me out? I'm new to this and the last time I tried to ask for financial help. It blew up in my face... I just wanna find the right way to do this. Any useful tips are appreciated from one struggling artist to another thank you

Still genuinely shocked how TADC fans would see trans rep right in front of them with local any pronouns Zooble and just ignore it for the smallest of possibility that Jax might be a transfem egg. I knew that with how the episodes were going that we would never have Jax outright say “I’m a girl” to the audience, which now leaves it this situation of infighting of “Jax must be trans!” “No that’s wrong!”

All the while ignoring Zooble being trans rep who has body dysmorphia and learns to love their body by the end of it such as then bartending with four arms.

But yeah, fans are just gonna say that there are no trans characters :/

They did lean into the jax thing with the maid merch I will admit, and i dont wanna say anyones wrong for feeling disappointed, but if you aren't actively paying much attention to the merch drops + some of gooses drawings you wouldn't have seen that. People watching this show for the first time after the 19th won't see that. All they'll see is what's in the show proper, which imo those hints never felt like they were going to lead up to jax saying "im a girl." (Also it would be wildly ooc for him to so lmao)

Wish I could say im suprised about the slight zooble erasure ive seen but im a deltarune fan. Fandoms hate nonbinary/genderqueer characters so much its insane.

(Them and Jax are like buying each other pronoun pins or whatever in my mind anyways #trans solidarity)

Editing right after posting to say: i do think jax is a transfem egg btw the implications kinda bash you over the head. I love that for her i really do, it was very special to see this on the big screen during pride right now. I've just seen people saying/implying we were "robbed of a canon trans character" while Zooble is Right There and that's what I have an issue with (even if the narrative focuses on their tranness less than people would like they are still trans and it is still important to their character, even if you are understandbly disappointed with jax, "no trans characters" is just like factually wrong and erasing the nonbinary/genderless rep)

19. Share a snippet from a wip without giving any context for it.

I work on my fics linearly so its hard to find a wip. I have a few more that have outlines, but it's not the same. Here's one:

The ever-present smile finally fades from Luo Binghe’s face. “No?” he repeats, questioningly. His face darkens. “Shizun would reject this lord’s hospitality?” “I–” Shen Qingqiu starts, panicked, casting around for an answer that won’t somehow make things worse. “This master would not presume to overstep–” Fingers close around his jaw as he’s trying to tilt his head down, to bow for forgiveness even while sitting so exposed in this bed. Luo Binghe wrenches his head back up, hard enough that Shen Qingqiu feels his eyes watering in response.

21. Can you accurately predict how long your fics are going to be? If you can, what's your secret?

Yes, with a few caveats. If the fic is under about 40k, I can predict within about a ten percent give or take. This is because my scenes are very outlined and so I have a very clear idea about how many words it will take to fill them out. Once the fic exceeds around the 30k mark I can't tell so much, because my outlines become somewhat less filled before I start writing. I still hit all the beats, but I will expand on my outline for individual scenes as I go, and this causes the discovery that I had more words I needed to write for some bullet points than others that I just hadn't fully considered yet. The Big Bang is hurting me right now.

30. Describe a fic that almost happened, but then it didn't.

Uh, I think that my Bloodborne AU somewhat fits the bill. It's been something I've wanted to write since probably somewhere mid-2024, and I don't come up with a lot of ideas on my own so this was pretty big for me. I really wanted to write Shen Yuan as the doll (SJ as Lady Maria) and Binghe as the hunter, and have him grow slowly more insane until SY sacrifices himself in order to force Binghe to use all of his insight to save him and restore his sanity. It didn't happen because it sounded very hard to write.

I also really want to write sequels to a few of my fics that probably will never get sequels.

40. Write a 9-word fic.

Nine words is SO SHORT, that's barely a sentence. (This complaint was nine words long)

"Found you, Shizun," croons the demon behind the barrier.

33 (bonus). You are so sweet I am so certain this is about octobing/bleached bones. I could not shut up about the ocean in that fic and I recognize this, so i'm glad it was entertaining!

What was the rosquez fic you read?

It was “All I Wanted” by Agnst_crrnt

It’s a “Rosquez Time Travel Au, where Marc randomly gets teleported through time, always ending up somewhere around Vale” (extract from the summary)(bc we cite our quotes here lol)

It was really good, filled with both amazingly sweet moments, as well as completely fucked and emotionally devastating moments and it’s really well written imo (and it has a pretty positive and hopeful ‘oh they’ll figure it out’ ending, if that’s something you want to know)

if you’ve already read it, there is “how did we get here, when i used to know you so well?” by matrixlenses

Where Vale make a wish and get sent in 2014 and tries to figure out how to possibly fix it all or if it’s even possible. It was really nice and scratched a similar itch in my brain.

I also had someone lose their shit on QGA over the chapter that implied that Annelise Shepard shot Mordin because they stopped right there and didn’t read further. A bunch of private messages about how I ruined a perfectly good start. I got a begrudging apology after I politely suggested they continue (though I would have understood if they stopped) but yea.

9. Do you write smut? I’ve tried and not fully succeeded. Still have hope though!

15. Writing strengths? I think I write fun and engaging dialogue. Making sure the characters sound authentic is something I take pride in.
