Her scent used to calm him and lull him to sleep when she wasn’t around in his younger years. Although he’d always place it back in her bed each morning, in case she came around that day, there’s no one to stop him from returning to his old ways and stealing it for however long he sees fit! He is conscious of doing it *too* often though, in case her scent wears off after too much use.
