I have a 23 year old hard keeper too and can attest to how good GG's booty looks. Like we could use some of that booty over here on my golden oldie. :( I don't know about your feeding sched with GG, but I know we feed my guy quality food and feed him pretty much constantly and he gets exercise and he wishes he had GG's booty. All hail GG and Myssi!!!! Anons stfu

I’m always happy to share his schedule! He gets 24/7 pasture (which is about 40 acres), and we usually have some hay out too - not currently, because we need to clear out some old hay. He’s fed Purina senior, and currently he only get 1 scoop once a day because his weight is up. It fluctuates with his weight, and depending on how hard the winter is, I may add a beer to his feed. He also gets MSM. =) If you need any help with your senior, please shoot me an ask! Figuring out nutrition is actually fun for me.

I saw your wonderful post about dog aggressive & human aggressive dogs and I just wanted to say thank you. I do have a question about my leash reactive dog that maybe you can shine some light on? She was attacked 2-ish years ago & she's confident off leash again, but still is very reactive on leash (barking, whining, lunging). Any ideas on how I can help her? Her brain just falls out of her head when she sees another dog while on leash so teaching a command like "focus" isn't a thing.

It’s common for dogs to be less confident / more reactive on leash even without traumatic histories because they’re aware that their movement and ability to respond to situations is restricted. It’s not surprising, then, that with her history she’s much more comfortable off leash. 

The best thing you can do for your pupper is to find a good trainer who specializes in reactive dogs and set up a protocol for helping her be comfortable and less reactive on leash. I could give you some basic advice, but it would be irresponsible to give you direction without meeting your dog and evaluating her (plus, reactivity is not an area I specialize in as a trainer, as much as I understand the theory behind working to reduce it). Someone skilled and in-person will do much more for helping you understand how to help her.

Thanks lovely. <3  I like to think I usually handle this stuff with a fair amount of grace and good attitude. But man, I am just a wad of bitterness and self pity today.

who did you first become interested in Huskies? Anubis and Tilly are gorgeous! I grew up with a great dance/rodesian ridgeback mix named Anubis so obviously I think you picked a super great name. :P

Honestly I didn’t have much interest in them until I got a boyfriend that had one. He’s had tilly since she was a pup and I’ve been with him for about four years now which is a good chunk of her life. You meet one and it all goes down the drain from there tbh, that’s how we got a second.  I bet your mix had some huge ears too haha!
