I gathered up all my favorite references that I never got around to drawing and threw them into a collage. Also posting each pic on its own.

Last mega post, the next 3 are part of a very special project and demand their own posts hehe.
More big posts of art, so close to what I have on other platforms
Renla and Gequia are just discussing dinner. That's definitely all that's happening here. If you want the text boxes moved, check out my bluesky under the same name 👀.
Wanted to take a beat from working on my fic. So I drew Renla and Gequia meeting in Geq's prison cell back when they were on opposite sides of a rebellion back home.
More of my art, trying to get it all on here to catch up to other sites

Renla was kneeling on the ground, tears streaming down her face as she cried and stroked her dead child's hair. He was dead. "He's dead." She mumbled to herself in disbelief as tears stained her cheeks and made her eyes red. He was meant to die after her god damn it. Years after her. Not by some dumb magic spell at the age of 15.

Stars: Our characters under the stars together
"I hope you realise that I am not happy with this scenario," Jade tells Renla, "you’re lucky the moon is new or I wouldn’t be here."
Renla glances at her idly, scoffing before turning back to the sky, dotted with stars, varying in brightness and colour. “Oh I know, but you would have left by now if you really wanted to.”
Jade huffs but doesn’t answer, adjusting her dress idly around herself before she lies down, looking up at the sky with little interest.
"Y’know, Father destroyed stars, when he sailed through the cosmos on the Nightmare Galleon," Jade starts, bored at the sight of twinkling blackness.
"You can’t destroy stars," Renla scoffs. "That’s impossible."
"Father did, he completely annihilated the constellations, the noble families of the cosmos, and then he heard of a child who had never had a nightmare." Jade is actually relaxing, and Renla rolled her eyes disbelievingly. "The young Tsar Lunanoff, and so Father came up with a plan, to turn the child into his Darkling Prince."
"So you weren’t his first."
"No, I’m his first, Father didn’t succeed," Jade explains. "You see, no-one knows what happened to Tsar Lunanoff’s family, but Father told me it was the wicked Nightlight that stopped him. To protect the Lunanoff family, he drove his diamond staff deep into Father’s chest. But Nightlight was made of light, and diamonds… They refract light… Nightlight was sucked into Father’s chest, neutralising them both, and for a long long time, Father was stuck, in a cave of darkness, until a moonbeam accidentally freed them.” She smiled, seemingly lost in the stars above.
"Whoa…" Renla says slowly. "How old is Pitch?”
Jade shrugs. “Don’t know, old…. But I like that story, it’s the only one Father told me.”
Renla hums, what a Father if that was the type of Bedtime story he told. She glances at the girl again. “Do you like the view? Or do you want to destroy it?” she asks slowly, curious.
Jade’s quiet for a while.
"I think I like it, actually…"
