—To show solidarity with those who can't pay rent

—Banks and landlords shouldn't be able to keep profiting on us when we can't even earn money

—Build collective power!

Five steps to kick off a grassroots rent and mortgage strike around the country starting from where you are:

—Write an open letter declaring that you aren't going to pay

—Invite others to sign on alongside you, committing to not paying rent or mortgage —Network with other groups around the country

—Organize legal support structures, pressure campaigns (such as call-ins to landlords), and eviction defense measures (including physical defense of homes) —STRIKE! Let's aim to build enough momentum for this movement to take off before the end of the month.
