rain didn’t usually go to parties. most of the time, she was supposed to be shutting them down, so she didn’t get an invitation. but those who knew rain knew that she actually didn’t really care about shutting down parties, so long as no one was actually getting hurt, and so here she was. she wasn’t really planning on drinking, wasn’t really planning on doing much of anything, but she got the invitation so she might as well be polite. or something.
she doesn’t spot him until she goes to get a drink, and he talks to her first. “are you following me around everywhere, now?” the question is offered with a small smile. she’s not really used to people wanting to be her friend so badly. but she had saved his life. “but thanks. alcohol and i don’t mix very well.”
