The nurse shark isn’t difficult to track. All he has to do is follow the trail of marine life hiding away in swathes to know which direction the mershark is headed. There are even occasionally a few creatures who swim in front of Ranboo, as if to stop him from doing something he’ll regret.

Well, joke’s on them. Ranboo already regrets pretty much everything leading up to this point, so what’s one more thing?

Besides, he won’t be able to regret anything when he’s dead.

...okay, he’s reached his quota of morbid thoughts for a bit, now he just needs to fill up on reckless lack of impulse control and maybe he won’t starve tonight.

George is a wild borrower, living in the woods instead of taking the risk of staying in a human's home. But when the approaching winter becomes a dangerous threat to his safety, he realizes that relying on a human might be the only way for him to survive the cold.

George hums, pretending to think. "Well, most humans would be eager to kiss a siren, so perhaps that's a trade you would be interested in."

The human immediately lets out a flustered sputter, jerking back, hands smacking against the boat. "What, I- no, I'm not gonna- no."

"It's called a joke, human. I wouldn't kiss you," George says with a sharp laugh, lying through his teeth. He would kiss the human, but only so that he could sink fangs into their flesh and fill the water with their blood. He'd kiss them to get a taste of them but he knows that once he does, he's not going to be able to stop.

George makes a deal with a human to take the edge off of his boredom. Getting attached to them wasn't part of the plan, and neither was protecting them from the danger hunting them down, but George is determined not to let anyone take his meal away.
