thoughts on kiibo having a very obvious and easily activated shut down button on the back of his neck?

I can't say I know, other than what's been stated in Kiibo's FTE with Kaede- for emergencies, in case he malfunctions. Though I suppose with his flight gear in motion, it's nigh impossible to press that button anyway - no matter how badly it's hidden (according to Kaede, anyway) - since you'd have to reach behind his neck guard while he's buzzing around like a wasp on crack. It's guarded better as well- anything trying to reach for his neck button will probably be burned violently in the attempt

So 反逆 refers to ‘mutiny’, which I suppose is part of why Goro rejected that. He has a somewhat different term for it, referring to his justice-seeking as 反骨 which is ‘rebellious spirit’- heart, even (as he adds with 心) - and with the context given, towards one person specifically.

One way or another, rebellion of the heart is pretty much the root of how the Metaverse costumes manifest. So this would have to do with his awakenings- his rebellious spirit and his resentment, both. These go hand in hand in both awakenings of course, but... at different intensities.

There’s something else about this word which is interesting, though. 

It can also refer to one having backbone and resilience, as well as spirit of defiance. The latter I suppose is where ‘contempt’ might have come from, but what I’m getting from this is, this rebellion was a spirit to not be crushed. 

Whether by the life foisted on him by Shido, or by Shido himself.

Scuse the uh... gallows humour?? I went back to my hometown to visit ailing mother for the better part of a week and it was an experience I wouldn't wish on anyone. I hope it would be obvious but I'm not blaming my poor mother for her condition and delusions, I'm pissed off that nobody thought to tell me the particulars of her illness until I was in my fucking 30s (note: not every case of Parkinson's involves dementia). But apparently my nanna's thing was 'don't bother the kids with that, lie about it instead'- which, she was being kind about add 'kind liar' to the list of things that seem to reflect in my interest but now I'm gonna have to deal with the fact I have 'false memories' and nobody prepared me for that

Fun thought: given the possibility Ouma might not be (wholly) Japanese I had a thought of him having a Greek name or something of the like (because the Greek mythology thing with the Illiad/Gemini, and all)

After a friend sent a bunch of firstnames for me to look at I decided to look at last names as well and found one with the meaning of ‘live forever’ (’immortality’ is a part of Gemini too which is really cool). But the actual funny thing is the name
