It had been about a month and a half since Kora had crash landed in Metropolis, a month since she had been found by her cousin who had been a baby the last time she had laid eyes upon him. Now they were both adults and everything was different. He no longer needed protection, but Kora did not need protection either. Since her escape from being held captive on Mars by the white Martians she had learned a whole lot about change.
She was not who she once was, she was much tougher, much more cold than she used to be. Even with Kal El she was a little on the fence about being nice to him even though he was letting her stay with him at his and Lois’ place. Lois had a hard time trying to keep the secret from Kara. Kora had begged the couple not to inform her sister that she was on Earth, not yet. It wasn’t time. She had to become accustomed, but she also needed to get over the anger that she was holding inside toward he sister as well.
It was complicated to say the very least. If only she would have had more time before the day arrived when she was splayed out on Kal’s couch with a bucket of popcorn and Netflix turned on when her twin walked in the door. The woman didn’t even move until she heard footsteps that were neither Kal’s or Lois’ . When she turned around to see Kara there, well, a lot of things ran through her mind and she was --- bombarded with too many feelings at one time for her liking.
“Kara...” She stated, moving to set the bucket of popcorn on the coffee table in front of her before she turned to get a better look at her baby sister. “Why are you here?” That was the first of many questions that the older Zor El had floating through her mind. She was sure that she was about to get an ear full from the other who looked stunned.
