“That’s not good…” (I need to stop, but hhhhh the angst is calling me and it's about time her recklessly selfless ways bleed into her relationship with Simon >:3c)
'That's not good...'
'that's not good? No shit, it's not good!' Simon wanted to yell, but he forced himself to keep his panic on the inside. There was an awful lot of red spilling from her and he couldn't afford to be anything but calm and calculated. The android carefully pressed his hands against the wound, trying to apply pressure without hurting her. It was a futile thing to attempt and he knew that, quickly giving up on being gentle. He had to stop the bleeding. As much as it pained him to admit, saving her life was more important than her comfort right now, and at this rate she was going to bleed out.
"What were you thinking? Why did you do that?" he whispered frantically, already sending a network message to the nearest first responders so an ambulance would be on it's way. "I know you're a cop, but did you really think stepping between me and those assholes without your firearm was a good idea? If they hate my kind enough to get violent, then of course they'd be willing to go through you to get to me."
Humans that hated androids tended to hate android sympathisers just as much, even if they were human too. Rachel had been reckless in trying to stop them. Though, Simon couldn't help but be grateful she had intervened. She wasn't the only one bleeding, and it was only thanks to her distraction and the way she fiercely fought them off that the PL had managed to get the upper hand on their attackers. Rachel and Simon were able to fight back enough that the two jerks decided it wasn't worth it to try and take them both on at the same time. They ran off with wounds of their own, but left Rachel bleeding on the sidewalk and Simon desperately trying to keep her conscious until the EMTs arrived.

It was just the beginning of fall, the leaves were starting to change colors, painting the trees with vibrant shades of red, yellow, and orange. The sun was shining brightly and it would be easy to assume it was a warm day out at first glance, but there was a distinct bite of cold in the wind and the breeze was enough to keep those fiery colors in the trees dancing.
Markus was simply taking a stroll through the park that was across the street from the shopping plaza where he often went to get Carl - and now himself - new paints and art supplies. He wanted to draw inspiration from the autumn hues for his next painting. It was also nice just to hear the kids laughing on the playground there.
A particularly rough guest of wind blew past, making one of the children scream and fall over giggling. Markus turned his head to watch them with a small smirk, but when he started to look back to where he was going, he spotted a woman walking a few feet away without a jacket. She looked like she was freezing and had probably underestimated the temperature of today's weather due to the sunshine.
Figuring he had a few layers on and would be fine without one of them, Markus decided he would be nice and lend her his jacket. He shrugged out of it without a word and walked right up next to the stranger, draping it over her shoulders and falling in step with her as if they already knew each other. "You looked like you could use it," he said with friendly smile.
