Trump: Another Republican Puppet

Trump has probably been the Republican's puppet from the very beginning. Knowing this would be a populist election it looks like Republicans are putting on a big reality show for America. Seems that Trump, a reality show star, was scripted in to play the "outsider" who takes over the Party on his own terms. Trump is not even really a republican:

"...they’ll see that Trump is no conservative. All his life he’s been a lefty liberal, he supports Obamacare, he’s all for eminent domain, he has told us he’s very pro-life. Even on immigration, this guy has been a lifelong liberal on immigration and now he’s a conservative all of a sudden?" -- former Gov. John H. Sununu (R-NH)

Elections in the US are always close. Each Party usually gets about 45% of the vote every election and compete for the remaining 10%. There has been a lot of discontent in America since 2008 so they are playing the populist angle. It's just that the Democrats actually seem to be sincere about it. A month after Bernie Sanders' announcement to run for president Trump made his announcement. Seems like the Republicans were ready to put their populist "outsider" in the race but only did so when they really had to.
