Progress Report #3 (final push before December deadline!!)
My hopes of completing a full DIY guide were stymied by a trip out west, the flu as well as a few other life fun-times. Last week I decided to make the Cardboard Laptop Stand DIY Guide a single pager and here is where we are at today as of 12pm EST. By the end of the day, this single pager will be complete and ready for downloading. Till then, I have Christmas lights to hang, kids to feed, a short nap to take (on the tail end of the flu) and a copy to write. I am probably missing things on that list...
Still to for the Cardboard Laptop DIY Guide:
Input measurements
Write some witty copy
Clean up the design
Test the guide out with a build (probably out of a Huggies diaper box)
Figure out a way to distribute? (email for now, auto download later)

Progress Report #2
Here are a couple iterations on the Cardboard Laptop stand. The one made from the Amazon Fire box included slots in the top for cord organization and storage (pictures soon to follow).
Still waiting on laser cutting quotes
Because of the laser cutting quote delay, I am considering cutting out a short batch. Handmade in ATL yo!
DIY plans are in the works, beta to be release this weekend.
Progress Report #1
A 3D model has been created in Google SketchUp so that I can translate different views into the step-by-step visual guide.
Currently sourcing laser cutting facilities in the Atlanta, GA area (have a contact? let me know!)
Soon to follow:
Hand sketch drafts of the DIY guide (pretty simple guide as compared to the PAC)
Photo shoot of built guides
Page creation for free download (via Pulley App, Shopify, etc.?)
