Sometimes while I play LotRO, I have to pause and ask myself why the actual fuck I put myself through the things I decide to do.
I thought it was bad when I decided to run through that whole “all Eriador deeds and full kindred reputation with all Eriador faction” stuff. What have I done since then? Doubled down and continued with my bullshit. All Moria deeds. This INCLUDES the instance deeds, which means I have the damn goat. All deeds from Lothlórien + Southern Mirkwood and through Rohan. All Gondor deeds. This all includes full reputations.
I am currently working on the Host of the West reputation. More specifically, because I am rapidly running towards the end of that, I am working on the Host of the West subfactions reputations. Because I, being the “leave no reputation below cap” idiot that I am, just can’t stop.
The whole reason I started finishing up in Gondor (starting with Central because that was where I left off last year) at all?
Needed LotRO-points to get Gundabad. I started at... I think like 800-900 points, and I am currently at 2960 (after also playing a bit on my loremaster and accidentally finishing deeds with her). I need a grand total of 37 points to get Gundabad.
BUT, you know, instead of moving on like a normal person and just continuing with explorer deeds in Mordor, I went through what I had left on the Herbalism quests in North Ithilien and continued on to the Wastes with all my bullshit. I am physically incapable of just grabbing the easy deeds and moving on. I have to FINISH a zone. I have to ensure that I have NO reason to ever come back.
Why do I do this to myself? Why do I put myself through these long frigging grinds when I could just grab the easy deeds?
Oh right. I’m an idiot.
