♒ - If they could choose how to die, how would they want to go?

Lethal injection by his own admission. Something to that effect. It would be suicide obviously in the most convenient way for him. 

☢ - Would they survive an apocalyptic situation?

We’re talking about a very resourceful and resilient shinigami here, with one of the most convenient fail safe options of anyone in Bleach. Could he withstand a nuclear bomb going off right next to him I doubt it because who would? I doubt even Kenpachi could withstand that, though that would be more believable. We’ve just never seen how much stress Mayuri’s goo form can take. We only have his confession that he can receive no damage while like that. His actual body while not in the goo form is obviously not as resilient, but if the catastrophic event were to happen a little removed from him I have no doubt that Mayuri could withstand most things: radiation, flooding, zombies, etc. 

△ - Name one thing from their past that they regret.

To me it’s still letting Nemu die. As much as it was a slight moment of pride to watch her exceed her limits, it overall represented a failure in Mayuri’s inability to fight his fight and in a roundabout way to protect Nemu. He wasn’t a complete failure because he retrieved her brain but it was still a regret. Even if that regret is tinged by annoyance that he had to build a new daughter.

♣: Any headcanons about your muse?

Mayuri would never admit it, but he’s at a loss when it comes to disciplining Nemuri Hachigo. Despite being a near genetic clone of her late sister, Nemuri just doesn’t respond the same to verbal or corporeal punishment. 

Mayuri is far from discouraged, in fact, he’s fascinated by her development and what this implies for the nature vs. nurture debate. He is, however, suffering now that his little girl isn’t quite so obedient. He’s not used to being carelessly ignored or questioned, and it’s disarming when it comes from a frank little girl with a loud mouth and no filter.

☾: Favorite moment from your Muse’s canon, and why. (If your Muse is an OC, then favorite aspect of their story.)

This is killing me having to pick, but I’ll go with the moment Urahara takes Hiyori to the Maggot’s Nest to meet Mayuri. It’s an overall excellent exchange between the three characters, but especially Urahara and Mayuri. You get a sense for why Mayuri can’t stand him. I also love Mayuri’s simple look, with the black band across his eyes, the gold ear cones, and the brushed back hair. But I love the scene most for the mystery it creates around Mayuri. He’s a different person in TBTP, not the Captain we know during current events.I find that fascinating. 

☂: Favorite kind of weather.

Summer. I get my biggest break between semesters. The days are longer and you can’t beat summer nights. I truly become nocturnal during the summer.

♦: Relationship with your Muse.

I love Mayuri. Probably more than is healthy. I’ve never poured more love, thought, and energy into a character. He tops my favorite character list because I found him when I was young, back when I didn’t know what my type really was. He ticked all my boxes. I became obsessed. He’s the reason why I started drawing and why every guy I doodle sorta ends up looking like him. 

That said, I fucking hate him. He’s the worst to work with. For all that shit about hating perfection he has really high standards and I have really high standards and am a perfectionist. It doesn’t mesh well. He’s also just a huge asshole and that makes it hard to interact with others. Slipping into his voice is like slipping into a second skin for me at this point but inhabiting his mindset still drains me of all energy. 

♠: What’s one thing you dislike about your Muse?

Uh I guess I kinda covered that already, whoops.

●: If you could say just one thing to your Muse, what would it be?

“I’m quiet, meticulous, follow orders well and I don’t mind dying. Let me work for you.”

☁: Favorite part of RPing.

Plotting, which is why I hardly have any threads. 

▶: A talent of the Mun’s (besides RPing, of course!) 

Uhhh…I’m good with my hands? Loved PE because I could catch well. I’ve saved many a beaker and flask from crashing to the floor during lab. At my best I can type ~100 wpm. Really if I can do anything with my hands I’m happy.

☼ If they had the choice to be immortal with one other person, who would they choose?♣ Do they believe the world is made up of good and evil? ☾ What is their favorite and least favorite thing about the night?ψ Do they think they deserve punishment for their wrongdoings?

☼ - With how loud and hard to tame Nemuri Hachigo is now, Mayuri would be more inclined to choose Akon. The guy has been there with him for how long? He knows Mayuri’s moods and is the most equipped to deal with him and live to speak of it later. Akon is probably one of the very very few people that Mayuri will tolerate on an equal level. He’s less likely to be condescending and abrasive to Akon. Basically Mayuri prioritizes his needs and is willing to give up complete control of someone if they happen to be useful and not annoy him as much. 

♣ - Mayuri doesn’t use such concrete terms to describe himself so he won’t use them for anyone else. They are too concrete and unforgiving and do a poor job of encompassing all a person can be. Not to mention they are not objective at all. He hates those two concepts. 

☾ - Mayuri’s favorite thing about the night is how quiet everything can be. When the moon is high in the sky Mayuri is at his peak performance. Disturbances happen less often so he can lessen the constant feeling that he will be pulled from his work. 

There’s not anything currently that Mayuri has against nighttime. However, in the past he has hated night for what it ushers in. When the body grows tired and the eyes become heavy his mind starts to slow. The night used to mean wasted time and sloppy work. 

ψ - Haha hahah hahahahah no. It is exasperating to him at this point when a person threatens him with the concept of karma or comeuppance. He knows he’s pretty untouchable right now. His conscious is blissfully silent, his position is good, and he is needed. All is right with the world. If someone has a problem with his actions he has ways of silencing them.

What would you want as a last meal?

My grandma’s sinigang lol. I’d just want a good home cooked meal that reminds me of my childhood.

Are you attracted to strange things?

No. I swear I’m so tame when it comes to my real taste romantically. But you already know I’m drawn in by weird shit.

A body part, like a limb, more specifically a leg. Prosthetics nowadays are cool. It would suck, but it’s better replaced than the loss of a sense.

What do you like about guro and/or horror?

I’ve always sought out guro because of an innate morbid curiosity and a desire to test myself. A good bit of gore in a good story will leave me feeling dead inside or even uncomfortable, and that is the reaction I want. I’m always looking for the next thing to stir up an emotional response in me. But I also like guro because it is a hedonistic violence to the body. I’m fascinated by human anatomy. But also in a way it’s therapeutic to me. It’s a deviation from the norm for a person who has a spectacularly normal life.

The entire year of 2012.
