My dudes. I'm going to re-read Phase one again. Riiight back to where it all started. Someone should join me so we can start a deeply unnecessary, deeply depressing, two-person book club. It’ll be fun. Probably.

It was so much fun to reread this one! I’m still in love with these characters, with this world, and with where this story is going. I picked up on a bunch of things that I think I either forgot completely or just didn’t notice the first time around! Rereading The Last Sun was like getting a hug from my favorite book. And this is still a solid five stars!

One of the funniest scenes in the Skulduggery series to me is still when there was this introduction of a new young male character (Hans or what was his name?) and my manipulated brain immediately went ahh him and Val are gonna have a thing eh? and then Valkyrie actually starts flirting with him and he just ... he’s not interested. He’s polite and nice and likeable but he’s just not into Valkyrie. And Valkyrie is pretty embarrassed at first but then just rolls with it and all the relationship-shit I thought was about to go down just evaporated into thin air. It was one of the best reading experiences of my life

I loved rereading The Hanged Man. This time it seemed to go by so much faster and I tired to savor it. There were so many little things that I missed the first time around! I still love Rune and Brand to pieces. I also loved the everyone is starting to see Quinn’s potential! This book is still a solid five star read and I’m so excited for book three.

This was so much fun to reread! I loved getting back into this world with all the style and fashion, the vampires, and the fact that this focused so much on mental health. I also caught a few things that I know I definitely missed the first time around! En and Ichii are still some of my favorite vampire characters, but I also fell a little more in love with Masaki and Sugi (and Darwin the tortoise). This is still a solid five stars and I’m super excited for the next volume!
