a resilience plot drop ; event 001

elegant bodies twirl on the dance floor, donations made in the name of helping others, joy and hope are bred on a night like this. and it spits in the face of the progress evil has made on this earth. evil is mean to rule here, the villains reigning supreme –– a night of good simply cannot happen.

commonly used by scarecrow, fear toxin seeps slowly through air vents. every breath of every partygoer increases paranoia, delusions become rampant, causing well-meaning civilians to lash out in their fear. fights and chaos have broken out, while the new heroes of this earth without immunity must deal with their own fears, while trying to protect the civilians from themselves.

matters become worse when a fire breaks among the chaos, the danger increasing and making civilians already riddled with fear and doubt that much more difficult to save. the building is becoming increasing unstable and with no real evidence of who is to blame, facing your fear and getting everyone to safety has taken top priority.

okay fam !! here we go, our first plot drop. or mini plot drop. seeing as we’re still so early in the game, consider this set up for future development.

quite a few people asked to be a part of it, and i would have loved to write something for each individual, but it was difficult to work everyone in sensibly and this leaves freedom for everyone’s involvement without anyone being left out.

you can continue your pre plot drop threads, transition them into including recent developments, or start new interactions.

i ask the all event and plot drop related threads are started by sunday, february 18th. once they are begun, feel free to continue them past sunday but keep in mind to wrap things up as post event threads may begin on monday. 

everyone is welcome to react however desired, but please run injuries and larger plots past me so that i may keep track of everything going on.

Cissie never minded events or galas. She loved the way everyone dressed up, how people danced, how there was food, and always a new face to talk to. What she didn’t appreciate was how the Valentine’s Day fell on Wednesday, especially this Wednesday. She had managed to come in a red dress, significant to the color of love (though that reasoning might make her choke on her own tongue), but she also enjoyed the color. It wasn’t because of her old suit that was hidden away in the back of her closet. Yet, she wasn’t so fond of the smudge of ash on her forehead, that she knew was impossible to cover up.

“Someone, anyone, please tell me why Valentine’s Day has to be on Wednesday? A giant event? Lent? And having to give up items I actually care about?” Cissie let out an irritated sigh as she held out her box of chocolate. 

“Want one? I promised myself no drinks or sweets for lent. But it seems, that I failed on the first day. Plus, isn’t the meaning of Valentine’s Day about eating chocolate and pretending to care about significant others?”

                            to the tenth annual saint valentine charity ball                            for disadvantaged youth and gotham restoration efforts

          please join us for a night of dancing, gourmet food, and socialization while we come together in the spirit of valentine’s day to extend our love to those in need. live bands will play while guests are invited to dance and take part in auctions that will be held throughout the night. for the tenth year, the wayne foundation has held this even in continuous success to raise money for the troubled and orphaned youths. in recent years, proceeds also assist in the restoration efforts of gotham and the families displaced by the tragedy. formal attire is required.

this event will begin wednesday, february 14th at 8pm est

this is open to the public, as much participation as possible is encouraged

friday, february 16th, i will release a plot drop that will occur in the middle of this event.

there currently is no set end date, but depending on plot progression, i will choose a day to end new threads created for the event and ask that current threads begin to wrap up.

please communicate and plot amongst each other !! it’s much more fun that way !!

please come to me with any larger plots you wish to do so that i may incorporate with what else is going on and keep track.
