Misty Blue poses with bluebells made of resin.
On Dartmoor, in Devon, England.
(Don’t worry, we took the resin flowers with us when we left!)
I don’t normally post my resin work on tumblr but I think I can make an exception for this
Haven't done anything new during the last week (still tidying), but here are three dice I started a while ago.
I tried leaning into the thing that happened with the green dice on accident: a transluscent colour (here red) combined with a metallic and more opaque one in it (here gold)
I love the slight glimmer of glitter in the sun
Learning... learning and more learning! First thing, I need to put more white pigment in the resin. My first batch (top pair) looks good, but i am not happy with the level on the rest. Second, the dome on a few are too flat. There are also bubbles I have to work on getting rid of. But it's progress! The three in the center are 6mm diameter, the top is 8 and bottom 10.
Donating to Ukraine
Hello! I guess it's finally time to stop being camera shy about my work haha.
I'm And, I own a small business on etsy selling cottagecore aesthetic knives/athames. I've realized that I finally have the means to help out, no matter how small, and it's something that I've always wanted to do but have never been able to do before. Now I can; I can make a small difference.
I recently listed knives in the colours of the Ukraine flag on my shop, and at least 50 percent or more of the profits I make from them will be donated to various charities that provide help for Ukrainians fleeing from the war, and those on the frontlines. I'll also be donating directly to Ukrainian artists and creative workers that i can find, and other Ukrainian-owned small businesses on Esty and artists.
By buying from me, you'll be getting a beautiful item, helping a small business, and contributing to the efforts of the war in Ukraine. These people do not as deserve this.
If you could check them out or reblog this post, I would appreciate it so, so much. You would be helping me achieve my dream of making a difference, and most importantly, you would be helping out those in Ukraine who are facing a terrible, unnecessary tragedy currently.
The purchase of everything in this section of my shop will be going towards Ukraine.
I'm still working on a list of reputable charities to donate to, and if you have any to suggest, I would greatly appreciate it. If you know any Ukrainian artists I could donate to, I would love to hear about them as well!
Thank you.
Did you know I have a shop with lots of shiny things?
I will be migrating from Ko-fi to Etsy this year, and with the change will come an inevitable rise in prices, due to the fees over on Etsy, so if you want any of this now, I’d suggest getting it before I move to Etsy!
I also have plans for more goodies soon, so stay tuned. Some of them I’m going to be saving for when I launch Etsy, but others will go up on Ko-fi first.
Click here to shop now and maybe find yourself a little treat!
(Ko-fi works via PayPal, for those unfamiliar with it, so it’s safe and super easy!)
