Survey about Masculinity

I'm writing an article dissecting what trans existence could look like within the world of Brandon Sanderson's The Stormlight Archive series through the lens of one of the protagonists, Kaladin, and I'd like to get an understanding of how queer and trans communities (both of which I am a part of) view masculinity and if there is any inherent meaning behind manliness. 

This piece will most likely get published to my substack and could end up being a video essay if there is demand. I am analyzing gender within the only first book of The Stormlight Archive, The Way of Kings, but the analysis will contain information that is revealed within the following three books: Words of Radiance, Oathbringer, and Rhythm of War.

I'm asking for statements from the queer community about what masculinity means in the form of a google doc. Statements from cis and straight individuals are welcome, as long as you are willing to provide nuanced discussion about gender and its expression.

A short animation following the main characters as they one-by-one become corrupted by the Monsters they try so hard to protect. Fast-paced, full of symbolism, and easy enough to grasp without knowing anything about the characters beforehand!

2. Buzzfeed Unsolved - Andi + Arlo (Whisper Court)

Length: ~7 minutes

Finish: Uncolored sketches - occasional lipsync

A collection of clips from Buzzfeed Unsolved with the main paranormal investigators from Whisper Court. Most likely will remain this level of finish unless the votes for it are overwhelmingly positive

3. Right As Rain by Vocacircus (Zero Escape)

Length: 2:45

Finish: Full color - minimal animation

I recently finished Zero Escape and I got absolutely BLASTED by the true ending. This is a spoiler-filled animatic of the true ending and the path it takes to get there

so, like, hi,

my writing isn't dead, it's just, not happening fast bc um

do any writers out there, esp fanfic writers get this thing where you've made a character/self-insert/whatever, and then you write a basic plot, and just... look at it and go 'is this? any fucking good?' and kinda want people to read over it but fucking.. can't stand the idea of somebody seeing it unfinished? or at all? esp when like, nobody around you is even in the fandom you're writing for?

lol looking into zero-waste living... YOU KNOW HOW NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE IT IS AS A COLLEGE STUDENT TO BE ZERO WASTE?? first of all, a lot of college towns (mine included) don't have a lot of health stores, or the type that sell cheaper produce and bagged goods. also, even though recycled goods aren't really considered, I still think it is a huge hurdle in minimizing waste and reducing consumption! like I have all of these handouts, and even though I can put them in the recycling, it is still material that had to be created, and it is material that will degrade over time and eventually thrown out. the huge pile of recycling always plants a seed of guilt at the end of the semester.. anyone have any tips for living zero-waste in college?

HELP.

I'm planning ahead and thinking of gifts to get Mark and Jack if and when I meet them. I have an idea in mind and it's really unique (at least I think it is), but I think it might be too feminine or something like that; not that there's anything wrong with that. I don't know if anyone's ever heard of the Wish Pearl Sets, but in each set is an oyster that has a real pearl in it. Each set has a different colored pearl that means something special such as wisdom, success, health, wealth, and love. So you open up the oyster and take out the pearl and put it in this little locket that becomes a necklace. I feel like it could have a special meaning to either of them and I have no talents like drawing and painting and such, so I thought this might be something unique and meaningful that they might like. I would love to hear some thoughts from any of my followers or anyone really. Thanks.
