Living Green and Saving the Environment
Or at least starting to learn to live green and help save the environment. I've never been one to think too much about saving the environment but in recent years have begun to come on board. I have the chance to live a little over an hour to Yosemite National Park and is one of my favorite places in the world. I would think that a nice place, would not be here, or be so beautiful for future generations to enjoy, in 25 years, 50 years or 100 years from now.A few years ago, I worked in a political campaign to a business colleague and friend. Did not win, but I learned a little about how to help save the environment. Now, I intentionally did not live where they can walk to shop, eat, etc, but you can hire a gardener and use the green garden tools instead of gas mowers, trimmers, etc. and I am a seller of a company selling entertainment, paper and cleaning products and in the last 12-18 months hotels growing interest in organic products. Many of our vendors that make our product lines (P & G, Kimberly Clark, etc.) are developing more and more products that are easy to recycle, and green. Besides, many of these companies are also changing the way we work - one is intentionally using less paper with a commitment to reduce its use per year, another now relies more factories around the country to not have to run trucks with more gas and polluting the air, and other methods of how they can work more efficiently would not have considered just a few years ago. The company I work serves the hospitality (and cleaning) of the clients in the San Francisco Bay and the hotels where we actually see the changes coming. More and more hotels are requesting organic products. When I stayed in a hotel in the San Francisco peninsula spring back, I was astonished to see the signs in the room to instruct on how to recycle our waste, with different garbage cans. I was quite surprised, but it has helped me realize that we all have to get on the bandwagon. Now, really separate my waste before it goes out of garbage each week. In fact, I sell my bottles of water every few months and give my soda cans (very few!) A friend who sells them. Some other things we can do is quite simple - Home of the separation of recyclable waste of true - and this research. More information can be recycled at each account. Consider investing in a solar system. A big production house and recording studio in my town replaced the roof last year with a new roof including a solar system because of the CPA's owner said it would pay for itself in seven years. And will save you thousands of dollars in energy costs each year. Check before you light the fire ... if you are in an area with fire regulations required. In my area started two years ago, and although it is true that used to bother me, make me look and double line break to see if I can enjoy a fire before I go and start one. In your home and / or office, you can use the back of your computer paper in your fax machine. You'll save some trees and some money because they do not purchase as much new paper. And remember to purchase when you buy recycled paper. Consider installing motion sensor lights in his room at home and / or office so that the light flashes when someone enters or leaves the room. Take showers instead of baths to save money and install a low-flow showerheads to save even more. Little things like turning the water while brushing your teeth is easy to do and the savings amount. The next time you buy a new appliance for your home, make sure you have the "Energy Star" label. These products can reduce their energy bills by 20 to 30%. Consider a front loading washing machine when you buy a new washer. They use water around 1 / 3 less than top-loading machines also reduces the amount of electricity used each time you wash a load. In addition, the clothes come out dryer reduces drying time. So, what is the potential for - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
