True, she has to give up on the tiara according to Marie Cary in Style and The Woman published in 1924, but I do think leaves of coppery gold sounds pretty good. This was meant for sales clerks who were supposed to advise women on their wardrobes.
The secret of success in dressing the athletic woman is to always remember her large and abrupt movements. This at once denies her the dainty dress and the ornate gown, and limits her to the flashing and to the 'efficient' one.
Abrupt movements do explain why I could never wear a long necklace--so popular in the 1920s--without it smacking into me. This is from Marie Cary, Style and the Woman, 1924 and published by the Dry Goods Economist which means it was meant to be read by the clerks who sold clothing.
