Carmen Rouge was a very extravagant and straightforward persona. Before becoming an actress she tried to start a songwriting career. Unfortunately, no recording studios were interested in here demos.

But after yet another rejection breakdown, she was noticed by Butch Price (influential person in the industry and businessman). With his help Carmen was able to star in the classical moving picture " Neverending Labyrinth" and gain a huge success.

She became an icon of her time, but after 10 years her life tragically ended due to unknown circumstances. Case was closed. The prime suspect in the case, ex acting partner of Carmen's, Dolly Peach, was let go due to the lack of evidence and stopped acting after the incident. The mystery of Carmen's death wasn't uncovered to this day... Until someone found a diary on the crime scene many years later.

A super fun commission for the cool guys of NRGComics of their Toonman character. You could say it´s some kind of a retro-heroe, with most of the skills and crazy abilities that old cartoony characters used to have. This one was a lot of fun to do and I hope I can draw more of Toonman in the not so distant future.
