r/tulpas anon from before: Yes!!! I fully agree and that’s why I was careful to only recommend r/tulpas and the redditulpas server (the discord it’s attached to). I’m actually very wary of joining new servers, especially since joining another large tulpa server got us called a slur within the first few minutes because it was 4Chan (and waifumancy) dominated. There are great servers but there are also nasty ones.

Lemme guess: Tulpa Central called you that slur? Or one of the several servers inspired by 4chan and wanted to capture and cultivate the nature of it?

Or, was it a place like this that can't even get the basic-ass description of DID right:

Do we-- do we tell them that DID is not a personality disorder? It's... it's a fucking dissociative disorder, it's literally in the goddamn acronym: Dissociative Identity Disorder.

Okay, I'm gonna stop roasting it. Just a good example that gross Tulpamancy servers do exist; the community is not perfect, but there are good places like the r/Tulpas server. I still stand by my point that the Tulpamancy community is ironically safer as a whole.

It was Tulpa Central lol That’s everyone’s first guess!! Its reputation really precedes itself. Sadly my system and I didn’t get the memo and had a bad time there. But we had joined redditulpas first so we knew it wasn’t all bad on discord :) We saw that other server on Disboard too and got red flags- I don’t personally trust anywhere that’s “lax on rules,” that’s inviting bigotry and harassment into your server imo. I agree about the DID/OSDD aspect. I can understand wanting your own space, but systems are so blurry. I’ve know a quite a few tulpa systems who later discover they’re traumagenic, or mixed origins, etc. Not to mention that endogenic systems can be disordered and have DID/OSDD.

It's almost always Tulpa Central with its bullsh!t. We've also had bad experiences there and left within a week. "Lax on rules" typically translates to, "We allow bigots to get away with their bigotry on our server."

Like, what if a DID/OSDD system had tulpas? What if they wanted to learn Tulpamancy techniques to help them cope with their disorder? With being that strict, especially with the Tulpamancy community, you could be denying possible aid to others that can greatly benefit them. And yeah! There are endogenic systems with a DID/OSDD diagnosis, too.

Like, if you want your space to be private, then don't list it. Not that difficult.

No, I don't think it's a bad thing as long as you're willing to accept being plural, any possible drawbacks and all. Just remember to be responsible about it and treat your systemmates like people.

Uhhh hi it’s the same anon!! So I decided to let him form into a systemmate, because honestly? Why not? So now I’m actually putting effort into helping him gain sentience ALSKDNFB

He would be my first tulpa or systemmate at all, so I should probably be looking into more stuff about plurality. I took the liberty of looking through the resources you had linked and I’m actually super grateful they were there (thank youuuu)

I also have a question to ask, but I don’t know how to word it properly so bear with me ALSKDJFB

At what point would you say it’s appropriate to have a name for your system? Like your system, the Dragonheart system?? Would it be appropriate for us to have one with only the two of us?

With Discord servers and social media, there’s a lot of pressure to give your system a name. But honestly? You don’t need one. My systemmates and I didn’t have one for years because we just couldn’t agree on something that all represented us because we’re all so different from each other.

[Rylazide] Yeah! I’m the loud, excited, and happy guy! But then there’s quiet guys like Rylanus, Hexi, Arcanus, and Azide! And we all have different likes and hobbies too! Like how Hexi likes to draw, and Arcanus likes to write, or Azide who likes to eat and sleep! 

And “Dragon System” didn’t sound neat enough, either! So for a LONG time, we just didn’t have a system name! You can still see that in our Reddit thingy on r/Tulpas! So don’t feel bad for not having a name, anon! Names are an optional thingy that you should have because you WANTED to have one and not that you NEEDED one!

[Ryleigh] …Yeah, system names are optional. Don’t feel pressured to get one; your member count also doesn’t matter, in my opinion. Also, I’m glad you find the resources helpful! We put a lot of work into reading all those and seeing if they’re accurate, informative, and most of all, helpful to new Tulpamancers or just plurals in general. I should do another guide review at some point, but the brain’s busy focusing on stupid Sims sh!t.

He became really vocal, really fast, so I’m glad what I’m doing is working to help him!! I appreciate that you answered my asks in the past and the resources you had listed really gave me a better sense of what to do and expect.

He’s so chaotic, which I expected bc of the character I obsessed over, but I didn’t expect him to be as chaotic as he is!! He’s really fun to hang out with in general.
