I walked to my friends apartment tonight listening to Vocal Point. The song "Come thou fount" started to play. - - - This song is very special to me. It's my missions song. So whenever I hear it, memories of the best 18 months fly back to me. - - - The part that gets me is the part I quoted in my picture. God KNOWS that we are going to wander, and He KNOWS that we will be looking for Him. Maybe for some not right away, but there will come a day. - - - I have had some incredible experiences lately that have just filled my soul with joy. From making a new friend, to General Conference, devotional, so so SO many things. - - - Being a missionary was the best thing that I did for myself, and as I have returned to the habit of daily scripture study and prayer, it has helped me realize how much of an impact the Spirit has in my life! It also makes me wonder what exactly I have been missing all the times that I wasn't close enough to the Lord. - - - Don't settle! Be around those that lift you up! Be around those that make you want to become better. You have SO much potential that you don't even see. You are destined for greatness, and you have the Greatest Being as your guide. Trust in Him. He will never lead you astray. - - - Yes, we may wander at times, but He will still be there waiting with open arms. He will never forsake you, or leave you broken beyond repair. Trusting in Him and His plan has been a big focus for me lately, and I really have just jumped into the deep end, hoping that I keep making the choices I need to. - - - It's not easy. At all. But is it worth it? You betcha! God has a Plan of Happiness. After all, "Adam fell that men might be and men are that they might have joy." So get out there! MAKE SOME JOY! - - - The Gospel is true. You are of royal birth. You are glorious, unique, and His greatest creation. Remember who you are. - - - Be bold. Be brave. Be beautiful. Best. Day. Ever. Started my day with a huge hug from the elder that baptized me. Hung out with him and another Elder that taught me plus an elder that served in my YSA ward. Hugged them all many times. Went sledding for the first time and froze. Ate dinner with the senior couple I'm staying with. Went to a mission reunion. Talked for ages with some of the best missionaries about everything from the microbiology of the gut to the maturity differences between an RM and a nonmember or non-missionary. Hugged my mission president and felt how much he really did love me. Came back to the house. Can it get any better than that?

I'm finally going to hug the elder that baptized me. Three years. I waited three years for this. Here's hoping I don't cry. Or knock him over. I'm so flipping excited. I don't know if I'm going to be able to sleep tonight.
