I tell you what, ask your friends a question like “what’s the most horrific way to kill someone using ice magic?” and you’ll learn a lot about them. 

Like I have this one really sweet friend who just sort of giggled and gave me a weird look  and then was like  “you should freeze their eyeballs.” 

*cringes* 

And then this other friend enthusiastically launched into a description of how you could come back every hour and freeze another minor body part (starting with one pinky toe and one thumb, on opposite sides of the body, then moving to the earlobes) so as to kill them slowly and excruciatingly. But I expected no less of her. She writes about Jack the Ripper for fun. 

...And yes, this is for a scene that I am myself writing of my own volition. It made me feel somewhat unclean.
