FLASH CHARACTER DESIGN ＼(^o^)／
(MY DC AU! so keep in mind these are my variants of their own universe!) Also just me or the red text on tumblr still kinda orange?

Keep in mind these are concepts so many things are probably bound to change
OKAY SO THIS TOOK DAYSSSSSSS, I LOVE FLASH SM (mainly Barry Allen! While I consider myself a new DC fan, I remember watching the Lego DC superheros growing up and loving that flash! So honestly the inspiration for my flash design is the Lego one!
For aspects of flash's/Barry's design I wanted to add to it,I added clouds as a design for the lightning to come from (its part of the costume) the lighting part is small yet sharp looking! Its also serves as a export part of the costume when flash needs to run so the part of electricity he makes doesn't go all over the place and instead in one straight. I keep Barry's costume simple yet effective to deliver friendliness and a hero with shade of coloring that give off a smooth surf while kinda sharp to show protection.

REVERSE FLASH WAS ALSO *VERY* EXCITING TO DESIGN. I wanted his costume to look like if the Flash costume "exploded" as for example the logo lightning bolt is longer kept in a confining white circle, a bubble, an idea. He's sharper, almost larger and ready to break. The softness welcoming of clouds is gone for occasional lightning became a ruthless thunder.
The electricity of the speed force runs more aggressively in his body as he doesn't limit his power or pull back punches. He's more serious with losing that spark with flames ignited to burn not comforting warmth the flash brought. He looks strange but threatening in the dark when you suddenly see white lightning. I wanted his design to look almost consuming to his mind I don't know how to explain.

Some extra side Notes? Ig: while lore is in the works in this au and what not, while looking up reverse flash's design for reference I learned that like yeah he's the opposite of flash his name is reverse but like he isn't an evil barry alt universe who's got beef with him (I'm used to Lego superhero DC ok💔I haven't watched that movie in years tho...), very interesting learning reverse flash back story and parts (from wiki at least) for a moment I thought about scraping this idea but I stilllllll wanted to really badly do a hero to villain thing and unfortunately or fortunately for Flash/Barry Allen he's my favorite and i think he's cool therefore he must suffer a little tiny bit :3 so in tiny summary I'm probably gonna make him and reverse the same person in this AU! 🐆
