"Mm..?" 'Baby'? There ... was a baby? As soon as the thought set in, Lazuli sprung up. Still half asleep as she looked around for whatever infant Sherman must've been talking about. But... she didn't find one. She flopped back onto the pillow with a sleepy smile. Not quite awake enough to notice his odd behavior. "Morning...~ You're in a good mood."

He just watched Lazuli in amusement. She was so cute. And when she flopped back down, he leaned over to kiss her. “And why shouldn’t I be? I have a beautiful girl in my bed~,” he cooed, nibbling her ear teasingly. Oh, yes. That was more than reason enough to be over the moon.

He felt great today. He’d woken up feeling...light. Like the weight of the world had been lifted from his shoulders. He headed down the street, whistling at a pretty girl as she walked by and snickering at the dirty look she flashed him. He eventually made his way to the cafe where Caleb worked and walked straight to the front of the line, ignoring the indignant calls of those behind him.

“Hey, sugar,” he cooed and winked at Caleb, leaning on the counter. “Can I get an iced coffee? And something sweet?” He playfully tapped his cheek, tilting his face towards the other expectantly.

Pulled from a deep slumber be the sound of his alarm clock, Sherman groaned and reached over, shutting the thing off before going back to sleep. Just...five more minutes...

When he finally awoke feeling refreshed, he yawned and stretched his toes, turning to look at Lazuli in bed beside him. He smiled...and then grinned deviously before suddenly pulling the covers off of her. “Morning, baby~.”

Sherman had woken up feeling...strange. He hadn’t felt like making his bed. He always tried to put some effort into his appearance to appear presentable, but today his hair was meticulously groomed and he spent quite a bit of time picking the perfect outfit. By the time he walked out the door, he felt like a million bucks. Looked like it too, he thought. And strangest of all, he decided he was going to skip work today. He just didn’t feel like going. 

He was heading to the store to splurge on that new game he’d been saving up for penny by penny. He hadn’t saved up enough, but what could it hurt to dip into grocery money or something? However, as he was daydreaming about the game, he spotted a familiar face and grinned, sidling up to the young man and throwing an arm around Souji’s shoulders. “Hey there, cutie. It’s been a while. Did you miss me? What have you been up to?”
