sharing my own review of episode 7 to encourage others to fix theirs! we can’t let the homophobes win. every low rating of the episode where will comes out tells everyone that ‘we don’t want queer stories.’ i don’t care if you’re lying out of your ass. there are even reviews mocking bylers for the low ratings, and there should be. i am disappointed in our community. at a time when we should be standing up for queer rights and our ability to exist in media, we are review bombing because our ship wasn’t canon? bullshit.

What even is going on with the Channel Awesome stuff? I'm confused.

long story short

many people who worked for channel awesome and tgwtg make a document talking about how bad the situation was on the site. stuff implies:- people being fired due not being around the site when requested, even when they were busy in hospital- poor management and organization when it comes especially to the anniversaries, with people not having food and water, getting injured or even fainting (mostly coming from doug’s incompetence)- rumors about people being alienated from the rest of the group- sexual abuse and assault. i shit you not, we got rape going on here- and much, much more

people at channel awesome (more likely rob walker and mike michaud, the local CEO) fail to apologize. sending the video link because the original “apology” was taken down from the fb group apparently, and has the reaction from marzgirl as well

mass exodus from literally everyone except for the walkers as far as i know. the site didn’t update yet, but nobody is there. 

guru larry remains the last one on the site for a while just to become the true hero of the channel. many memes occurs. i never watched his videos but honestly this guy seems like someone very cool,,

I apologize. You made a post about it trying to do damage control. That's so much more than I've been seeing around and I've been genuinely so frustrated about it. I'm so sorry about the attitude, thank you for doing your best

I don't want anyone to apologize to me. It's the last thing I want.

I just need people to understand that what we're doing now can bring dire consequences on our own community itself.

When someone leaves a bad review, they give their opinion on it. But everyone reads an opinion on their own accord and then they have every reason to perceive it either the right way or entirely wrong.

Most people would not even read the reviews and when watching the show for the first time will know that s5 ep7 has the lowest ratings and then proceed to make opinions about it without even knowing why.

The last episode isn't even here yet, and people have already left the scene.

There do exist a lot of plot holes in the story, I admit it. But I guess we all know why exactly is there an excess of negative reviews on that ep right now. One can give the world any reason for why they did something, but deep within, everyone knows why they really did it. No one's conscience lets them go.

Any update on reviewgate?

not really. the account is still up but has not been updated. no one has presented me with any info that would disprove the theory as a whole, however the general consensus (coming from anons and comments/additions to the post) seems to be that its too good to be true and is either a wild coincidence or some demon phannie. i guess we’ll never really know for sure.
