the first chapter of this longfic has been slightly postponed because @deadpanwalking​ is an enabler of the worst order and tempted me to write a little sequel au where most of the expedition makes it back alive and things are mostly nice and also smut happens . anyway its coming along nicely, i couldn’t sleep last night so got about 2k words down

That being Connacht’s very High King, Ailill son of Mata. He was without his wife today for she is pregnant and demanded rest. For once, he was to lead men in their deaths. It was to his expectations that it would not be in vain. The goal is to capture the one wearing the Britain crown.

“On the count of five, you are to surrender.”

“If not, see to it that we will invade your walls.”

The most recent text in her phone was dated back to May-- And from Lelouch, no less.

That had been five months ago. Euphie felt her stomach turn thinking about how much she missed, how much work Lelouch must have done by himself with both her and Suzaku leaving at almost the same time. The Aegis had been their major project at the time, she remembered, and the guilt she felt for practically abandoning it and her brother was overwhelming.

So overwhelming, in fact, that she rushed over to the Black Knights’ headquarters the first chance she had. Calling first to make sure he would be there would’ve been the smart thing to do, but that simply wasn’t like Euphie. The idea was in her head, and she was going to act on it much like she did with all of her other impulses.

If he wasn’t there, she’d just keep going until she finally found him. 

It wasn’t long until she reached the door to his office, a slender hand reaching up to knock.

“Lelouch...? Are you there?”
