Merlin: Dragon, I need help. Should I give Arthur a skateboard or a bicycle?
Dragon: You have to figure it out for yourself.
Merlin: (Buys Arthur a skateboard.)
(Everything goes bad.)
Dragon: There was a prophecy that if Arthur got a skateboard he'd turn into a dirty dirty skater boy.
Merlin: And you didn't tell me this earlier because...? Now the entire castle of Camelot is a skate park.
Literally anyone: Trust me. I've literally never been wrong before.
Literally anyone else: No.
Uther: Magic bad!
Uther: Please fix all my kingdom's problems.
Merlin and Gaius: (Secretly use magic to fix all his kingdom's problems.)
Uther: And we did it all without magic! Hah! Magic bad!
Dragon or Gaius: Whatever the cost!
Merlin: Okay. (Gets it done whatever the cost.)
Dragon: Not THAT cost, dummy! We're all doomed!
Merlin: Literally just doing what you told me to do.
Literally anyone: (Goes anywhere, does anything.)
Merlin, who has a full-time job: (Spies on them with the stealth of an actual rogue.)
Merlin: I could save hundreds of lives by just telling Arthur I'm a wizard.
Gaius: NO. NEVER.
Literally anyone: A bad thing happened and I'm like 100% sure it's magic.
Gaius: Nope. Definitely not.
(Things get real bad.)
Gaius: I've gotta tell you a secret... It's magic.
The person: It can't be magic.
Gaius: No yeah it's magic.
Knights: We encountered a magic creature and it killed one of our friends. We can't beat it with swords.
Uther: Arthur, go take the knights to try again.
Gaius: It's magic. You're literally all gonna die.
Uther: Fake news!
Arthur: It's my duty. Let's go, boys.
(A bunch of knights die and Arthur is badly injured.)
(Literally nobody cares that the knights died. They're super disposable.)
Uther: The heck? Magic? Dangit, why did nobody tell me?
Merlin: (Uses magic blatantly in front of everybody on a daily basis. Outright admits to being a sorcerer.)
Arthur: (Yao Ming laughing meme face.) Merlin? A sorcerer? Yeah, right.
Literally anyone: (Is in prison.)
A main character: (Slips them a key.)
