so i didn’t actually know VivziePop’s mom had MS until a good friend sent that Angel picture i just reblogged to the discord and...oof that’s a whole ass mood. i’m using slang and memes to hide the fact that i heard “Mom” and “MS,” took one look at the picture, and burst into tears. i lost my mom a few years ago to MS and i’m a big baby about it hhhhhhh

sorry guys, there won’t be any art or questions answered tonight. i got less than two hours of sleep last night, worked 11 hours, my art’s been stolen like three times in the last 24 hours, and to top it all off i had an anxiety attack at work. i’ll have more free time tomorrow and i’m hoping i can at least finish the art for this one question i’ve been wanting to answer for, like, a week now! i’m super excited to see your reaction to it

It probably would be best for you to put a watermark. I don't know why the Hazbin Hotel fandom is filled with people reposting art.

there’s going to be art theft and reposting in any fandom or online community, regardless of what it is. it’s an inevitable fact of the internet. it’s as easy as right clicking. and a lot of people just don’t think about the negative consequences of reposting. i think the majority of them don’t even realize it hurts the artist when they repost. the rest probably just don’t care. i think it’s just such a huge issue with the Hazbin Hotel fandom because it’s such a huge community. the pilot is only two months old at this point and new people are coming into it every single day (i mean, the pilot has 24 million views) and there’s still hype for it, as well as the comics, and the livestreams. with just the sheer amount of people in this fandom there’s going to be a fair share of rotten eggs, and the worst are going to stand out more than others.

i’m not a huge fan of big watermarks for my own stuff. i don’t like hiding the detail, especially in the character’s faces and expressions. that’s why my signature is usually tucked into a corner, or overlayed over something unimportant. but i seriously need to figure out something to deter these thieves. maybe just overlayed text near the top/bottom of each piece?
