Send 💞 for me to describe 5 ways my muse says ‘I love you’ to yours.
“Hey. Are you okay?” Louie carefully peaked over the girl’s shoulder, hoping to catch her gaze. He didn’t know a lot about Fenton other than the fact that Uncle Scrooge liked him, and he didn’t know a lot about the kid he adopted, other than the fact that she was from St. Canard. But no one deserved to cry without being consoled. The duckling reached into his jacket, pulling out a can of soda. “Do you want my Pep?”
They were sitting on his bed, watching a television show on Ne.tflix. Packets of chips and candies absolutely littered his bed as he and Millie sat side by side. There was a duo on screen, one boy & a girl. In a very touching scene, the girl told her friend that she liked girls instead of boys. Louie pointed to the screen. Big of heart, dumb of ass, and a lesbian. “It’s us.”
“It’s called a shopping day, Millie.” Louie said with a smile. “Dewey and Huey always spend their allowance money, but I’ve been saving mine up for a long time. We’re gonna go through the mall and buy anything you want.”
“No - no - no it’s - it’s different.” He was looking up at the ceiling. At some point they must’ve crashed on the soft carpet of his room. Louie reached up a hand that wasn’t holding an expensive wine bottle. “Because it’s like - you get me. Huey and Dewey, yeah, they - they’re my brothers, but you -” He paused, hiccuped, and went back to talking. “You get me, man. You’re my best friend.”
He’s leaning over her shoulder again. His finger pressed against the page of one of his favorite books. Millie was having trouble reading and writing in school, and she was too embarrassed to ask Fenton (or anyone really) for help. So Louie invited her to come sit with him, and together they were sounding out the words on the page. When Millie read a whole sentence by herself, Louie reached over and gave her a great big side hug, showing he was proud of her.
“You always bring me pies.” Luigi said with a nervous smile, adjusting his collar with his finger. It felt much, much too tight. “I thought you might want a fresh plate of spaghetti?” He holds out the plate, still steaming with fresh pixilated heat. “The sauce is actually really good. It’s pesto! Very, very good. Ah, do you want to go ... eat it somewhere?”
Felix and him had been walking through Game Central Station. The arcade was just about to open, so no one else was around. Felix insisted on walking him back to his game. Hands held together, Luigi gave Felix’s a squeeze before turning around. As if it were instinct, Luigi leaned forward and placed a kiss on Felix cheek, cupping his other with his free hand. “See you later tonight!” The ghost hunter smiled, rushing through the gate. It took him a few minutes before he started screaming at what he’d just done.
Felix’s hand grabbed onto his arm as he tried to walk forward. Bowster had said something rather unpleasant and it made something in Luigi’s mind snap. He was going to give the bad guy a piece of his mind. But looking back at Felix’s concerned expression, the anger inside of him began to fizzle. How could he get angry with those beautiful blue eyes looking at him like that? Luigi sighed, turned around, and wrapped his arm around his boyfriend’s shoulder as he allowed himself to be lead away.
It was a moment where Felix had said something incredibly cute, or silly, or both. But Luigi couldn’t help himself. He reached forward and began absolutely attacking his husband’s face with kisses. He kissed his forehead, his cheeks, his nose, his chin, his lips, the little space between his ear and his jaw. Felix was laughing up a storm, ‘I’m ticklish! No! Stop!’ “You shouldn’t have said that!” Luigi laughed back, continuing his kisses.
“Hey, hey. Vieni qui.” Luigi took Felix’s hand, gently guiding his husband to sit down next to him. They definitely rushed into this whole parenting thing. Fourteen children, fifteen including Vanellope, was no easy task, and he could see how wound up it got his fixer. “Just take a breather.” He says, pressing his forehead to Felix’s. “It’s okay. You’re doing amazing. You’re the best dad in the whole arcade.”
