Batober: Day 21 - Error
If there was one thing I wish I could do, it would be to undo that mistake I made! If I could have done that, Sabrina wouldn’t be so angry!
Batober - Complete!
I can't believe I won't be filling in another one of these squares tomorrow.
As glad as I em to be "done", I acknowledge that these past 31 days have been transformative for my art and my attitude towards creating. I'm so glad I did this.
RF1: Year 1 - Fall 26
To my knowledge, RF1 is the only game where people stop working when it rains.
I was raised on a farm, so rainy "rest" days make sense because that was the best weather to do so when your work was mainly outside.
But Leo? Wouldn't it be better to work in the rain?
And Neumann, I understand that maybe you don't get as many customers in the rain, but Felicity showed up to work, so you should too! Camus is going to scoop up all your clients!
RF1: Year 1 - Spring 23 [Egg Show]
It's the Egg Show! The first festival Raguna can cheat his way into participating in. Year 1 - Spring is tough...
Thinking of the logistics of "Is it possible to participate in the first Egg Show", you'd have to make it to Mt. Gigant within the first 23 days of the game.
In other words, Raguna would have to conquer Carmite Cave, Toros Cave, AND Clemens Cave before earning a pass to Mt. Gigant to tame a Cockadoodle (or Cluckadoodle in modern RF games).
Technically it is possible, but it's ambitious, to say the least. But maybe that's just because I can't imagine rushing the bosses without using the fields to replenish RP.
Needless to say, Raguna is working his way through Toros Cave right now, so instead, he bought an S. EGG from Neumann's Farm to try to at least participate in the festival.
Sorry, Felicity, you'll only be cheering for Neumann this time. Think of it as a double promotion of Neumann's eggs!
Neumann ended up winning the festival fair and square in my playthrough. Or does he leave the best eggs for himself? Hmmm... Regardless, I went back to test to see if Raguna could actually win using one of Neumann's eggs and...
...he can!
I know Raguna's chances of winning increase the larger the egg, but I find it funny that Jasper's judging abilities are so arbitrary. I don't know if it has to do with the idea that "any egg can be of high quality", but I like that if you do make it to Mt. Gigant by Spring 23, you still have a chance of winning!
Bringing this back to Felicity, however, I think she should be able to participate in the Egg Show too! She may not own the Cockadoodles, but I'm sure she takes care of them on the rainy days when Neumann hides himself upstairs. She should be able to pick one to enter too! Raguna did!
I also still adore her Festival spirit. So far, her "I just want everyone to have a good time" attitude has captured my heart for both festivals in this blanket. We'll see if she ends up becoming my unintentional "festival day" indicator.
So, row 23 goes to Felicity, the future Egg Show queen!

you know i was willing to give neumann a chance but this guy is making the chronically ill girl man the shop on her own literally any time the weather is bad. can we kill him?
RF1: Year 1 - Fall 2
That's a great question. I wonder how Raguna feels while fighting monsters?
And why is Felicity interested in how it feels?
As I've mentioned before in other posts, I think Felicity takes a deep interest in the townsfolk, what they feel about Kardia, and how she can help build the community that best fits everyone's needs. This could be her way of catering to Raguna's needs, as the first "fighter" in Kardia.
But I think this is a bit deeper than that. Given that Felicity is one of the first characters to ask Raguna if something is "wrong" or "different", I think she's worried. A lot of townsfolk in this era of the game mentions that there have been more monsters than usual.
In fact, when you defeat Mt. Gigant, Neumann says:
Neumann: The monsters at home seem a little restless lately. I wonder what’s up with them.
Preparing for the worst, she asks Raguna how fighting a monster feels. If Felicity were forced to fight a monster, rather than take care of them, would it change her? Maybe asking the amnesiac isn't the best way to get her answers, but she can at least prepare herself mentally for what could come.
