Rune Factory Ficlet

Cinnamon/Melody: Established Relationship

It was a clear night, no clouds hung overhead as Melody snuggled in closer to Cinnamon. They huddled together, Melody’s head on her shoulder as they looked to the heavens, pointing out the brightest stars they could find.

“You know,” Melody sighed, “you’re prettier than all these stars.” Cinnamon blushed, looking away.

“I mean it,” Melody said, pulling Cinnamon’s head back towards her. 

“I know you mean it,” Cinnamon said. “I think...you’re prettier than the stars too.” Melody giggled.

“I guess it is a little embarrassing when it’s said to you, isn’t it?” she laughed. Cinnamon nodded once, but smiled. She wrapped her arm around Melody’s shoulder, leaning her head on Melody’s. She sighed contentedly, looking back to the stars. They sat in silence for a while, admiring the sky until Cinnamon tentatively broke the silence.

“Melody?” she asked, raising her head.

“Yeah?” Melody responded, turning to her. Cinnamon leaned down, pressing her lips to Melody’s in a sweet, chaste kiss. She brought her hand to Melody’s cheek as their lips met. When they broke apart, Melody sighed.

“That was wonderful,” she breathed. “Can we do that again?” Cinnamon smiled.

“Of course.”

As glad as I em to be "done", I acknowledge that these past 31 days have been transformative for my art and my attitude towards creating. I'm so glad I did this.
