Saeyoung - The Day He Realized He Wanted to Marry You

There were 3 moments for him. The first 2 were times when he, out of nowhere, just quoted a meme reference and without missing a beat you responded. 

But there was a moment he vividly remembered. 

It was at a party. They had decided to increase the capacity of the guest list, and though you never expressed it, there was a bit of pressure on your part as the planner. He tried his best to help but he was occupied with work and his brother settling in. 

You took it like a champ, but the nerves really set in on the morning of the party. 

He watched you that day clean, moisturize, and exfoliate every inch of your skin. Saeyoung didn’t dare bother you during the ritual. 

Finally, the party came. Normally, Saeyoung would drive you to the venue, but since his brother wouldn’t be attending, he wanted to make sure everything was in order before he left him. And so, you headed to the venue earlier.

When he arrived, the party was already well underway. 

His eyes searched the crowd for your familiar stature with a half-jesting apology already forming on his lips. 

He spotted you by one of the tables speaking to the owner of a small jewelry business. The woman seemed to enjoy your company. She was inviting you to the new store they opened in the mall. It was their first expansion and you looked just as elated as she did.

A younger woman was beside her. Immediately, your demeanor shifted. You were a bit cheerier, a bit less formal. She was talking to you about a dating sim you both played. You laughed at something she said. Something about tragic backstories and how writers knew how to hurt their readers.

And he found himself pausing at the sight… at the normalcy of the scene.

His midnight thoughts crept up in his moment of hesitation.

Perhaps this is what you really needed. Normalcy. Idle chatter about going to the mall. Playing video games to pass the time. It should be this and not…

Not waiting for hours on end to make sure he comes back home in one piece

Not dealing with sleepless nights because you got woken up by the screaming

And certainly not putting up with… him.

With his skillset, it would be a simple thing to disappear. To retreat into the crowd and wipe the entirety of his existence from your life. 

You got pulled into this life because of him and now that you’re with him…you’re even deeper.

No, you don’t deserve this. You deserve a normal life. A peaceful one. 

His mouth suddenly dried and the half-jesting apology dissipated on his tongue. 

He took one step back. And before he knew it, he was walking away from the scene… from you.

His heart hammered in his chest. Taking hold of his breaths. Thoughts ravaged in his mind.

He’s doing it again. He’s pushing you away. 

No, this is the right thing to do.

Wait, just… he has to calm down. This isn’t the answer.

But it is. The only thing he’s going to give you is trouble.

No, that’s not true. You love him. You’ll always love him.

But he doesn’t deserve that. And you… you don’t deserve all the shit he’s got with him.

No, it’s going to be okay. Just calm down.

No. Disappear. He has to leave right now. Before you fall in deeper.

No. Stay. Just stay.

Arms snaked around his waist. His fight or flight instinct flared up. He fists clenched but before he could do anything else, a voice halted the torrent of his thoughts.

“Caught you!” you yelled with a giggle. 

He turned his head as you rested your chin on his shoulder. “H-h…hey,” he answered in a low voice. You smiled at him. His heart slowed at the sight of your face. “You look beautiful.”

Your eyes narrowed in a jesting glare. “If you think flattering me will get you out of trouble you’ve got another thing coming, mister. Don’t think I didn’t see you running away while I dealt with Mr. Dokgo. That was seriously cruel.”

His hands reached up to touch the arms holding him in place. “Sorry. I didn’t think you needed me.”

“And where did you get that idea? I’ll always need you and because of that,” your glare became sharper and your voice dropped an octave, “I will always find you.”

Something in those words and the jokingly ominous manner you phrased it unlatched something in his chest. And with it, a warmth washed over his stature and he felt his mouth spread to a grin. Then, catching onto your jest, he faked a sob. “There will be no escape for me. This is my life now. Trapped and helpless.”

“I’m glad you understand your unfortunate circumstances. As punishment, you are sentenced to feeding me honey buddha chips while we watch the best or arguably worst bollywood film I can find.”

He chuckled. “Okay.”

“And… and you have to buy me and Saeran our favorite ice cream flavors.”

“Roger that.”

“We each get one pint.”

“Hm. You’re really milking this aren’t you?”

“Oh! And you’re taking me to a cat cafe as soon as you’re available.”

He nodded with equal parts of sincerity and resignation. “Yes, ma’am.”

The two of you paused when you heard a sigh. In front of you, Zen stood with a bored expression. “I mean, I know you guys are in love but really? In front of the guests?”

A blush coated your cheeks. A real one. Not the kind that your makeup gave you. You released him immediately and the urge to distance himself has all but dissipated.

“It’s time for your speech,” Zen informed.

You gave Zen a mock salute before walking off. “Hey, I’ll catch you later, okay?”

He smiled. Softly. Knowingly. This was his life. It's you and him against everything. And he wants it for the rest of time. So he yields to his fate and answered, “I’ll be waiting.”

hi! so I was wondering if you'd be able to do a hc for MC having a disability? i haven't seen any and I myself have something that makes my hip turned in, I have a big ports wine stain up my right leg which just makes me look like red tie dye. I was wondering how the RFA would help or deal with it? i can't run and walking hurts sometimes and I'm in pain most of the time and just have spasms where I can't move. if it's too much sorry, but thank you if you do ❤️!

MC with a Disability

a/n: I would LOVE too! As someone who is a huge disability advocate it makes me so happy that I received this request!! :) I wasn’t sure whether you wanted varied disabilities, but I assumed I’d include yours because you specified, but let me know if you want another headcanon featuring other disabilities!! Also, again, I have updated my rules limiting RFA requests to four people so I will choose based on what I feel like writing, but since your request came before I updated my rules and faqs, I would be happy to cover anyone you specifically would like to read about!!

It didn’t take long for Saeyoung to notice the pain you tried to hide

He remembered when he’d pulled you in for a side hug while you were walking

Muttering a silly pun in your ear 

But you didn’t laugh 

Instead, you sucked in a breath through your teeth

Holding back a cry out in pain 

He immediately stopped 

“Hey, babe, are you okay?” he leaned down in concern 

You gasped for another breath, “yeah, yeah I’m fine.” 

It was then Saeyoung recalled the medical records he discovered 

When he was performing a background check on you upon discovering you were in Rika’s apartment

“Oh my gosh y/n i’m so sorry!” 

You looked at his surprised, “you know about…?” 

“When V ordered me to do a background check I found your medical records. I shouldn’t have looked. I’m sorry”, he said, playing with his hair at the nape of his neck.

This man would do his UTMOST to make sure you’re always comfortable 

He’s never shy talking about how beautiful your special mark was

When you’d had a spasm attack, he panicked

Gaining his composure, he stroked your hair, assuring you everything would be okay

So when you’d sat down with him and told him about your disability, he almost cried 

Not out of pity, of course, but because you were so, so strong. 

He honestly looks to you as a source of strength for himself 

When crippling anxiety takes over him, you ground him 

If we’re talking mental disabilities, Saeran has many, so he knows what it’s like (to an extent) to not feel like others 

But that never stopped either of you

He’s all business and trying to be professional 

and then he comes home from work and he is S O F T 

Let’s be honest he’d do anything for you

None of that “if it’s within my power”

he seriously would not hesitate to denominate the world if you so desired. 

Also, he thinks you’re incredibly cute 

But when he sees you attempting to walk but there’s so much pain going throughout your body 

he quickly goes into his serious mode 

He will probably try to convince you to go to the hospital every time you have an attack 

“Y/N, this shouldn’t be something you just have to ‘deal with’.” 

“It’s alright, Jumin.. I’m used to it.” 

He gently held your shoulders, “But it shouldn’t be that way!” 

Tears welled in your eyes, “I know, but what can I do?” 

Jumin held you in a tight hug

“You don’t have to do anything. Just tell me what you need, I’m here.” 

He gently kissed you, looking into your eyes reassuringly. 

“I’m here.”

V is most well-known for always being a loyal and extremely kind person 

So if you’re his girl

He will be the sweetest ever

I know he loves photography but something tells me he would/should be a psychology or special ed major 

He has a very caring soul 

I think more than anything he’d spent a lot of time with you just laying on the couch or bed and holding you in his arms

He looks at you when you can’t see him 

A soft smile on his face 

Let’s be honest you’re the focus of his photography now 

He loves your beauty and uniqueness

The first time he said he loved you was when he’d rushed you to the hospital during a spasm 

You couldn’t speak from the pain

Reset

Every time MC reset, the RFA knew.

Each time the same, with the same timeline, same words, and same feelings.

But this time was different. After MC reset, they never logged back on.

The RFA continued their lives: Yoosung taking classes more serious, 707 taking on more work, Jaehee divulging more into her work and hobby, Jumin taking more cat projects and meetings, and Zen taking more roles.

Yoosung☆ entered the chatroom.

"GUYS!" the alert from the now rarely used chatroom lit everyone's phone.

Yoosung☆: MC IS AT SKY UNIVERSITY! I HAVE A CKSDD WITH THEN!

Jaehee: are they well?

Zen: did you talk to them?

Jumin: How can we be sure it's MC?

Yoosung☆: Believe me. It's MC. I would recognize MC anywhere. Don't believe me, here look at this.

And they did.

It was MC. MC was laughing with some guy, moving their hands as they talked. MC looked the same, except for a scar that stopped at that left eye.

Zen: Who is that lowlife with MC?

707: what happened to their eye?

Yoosung☆: From the introductions, MC had an accident and went back to their home country. They returned to study abroad for the year. That guy is MC's host brother. They're staying at his family's house.

707: WUAH! MC was hit by a car. That's why they stopped talking to us... I thought ...

Jaehee: I thought MC wanted to move on.

Jumin: 707 what did you find?

707: ... MCs memory has been altered. MC doesn't remember anything before the accident. Not even her family. I didn't want to look, but yeah.

Zen: you knew?!

707: Not for certain. I respect MCs privacy, but I installed a notice for MCs face in the street cameras. It pinged a few days ago. I didn't want to say anything until I looked into it.

Yoosung☆: Oh CLASS is about to start! I got a seat behind MC! Message later, bye

Yoosung☆ left the chatroom.

Then the wait came for updates on MC by Yoonsung.

It was also divided. Half wanted Yoonsung to befriend MC, the other half thought it best to spare MC a cycle of pain and love for their selfish reasons.

Each approached MC at different times throughout the days and weeks.

Jaehee noticed MCs coffee patterns and when they'd go and where to get coffee.

Zen would disguise himself and shop at the same places MC would.

707 paid more attention to MC through cameras and even asked MC for directions to the nearest convenience store in the guise of an old man. His heart almost melting when MC offered to help him carry his things to the car.

Yoosung found more opportunities to work with MC in group projects or at lunch, making sure their group of friends interacted.

Jumin made sure MC had a good scholarship, requesting for interviews with MC, but he'd just watch from a screen while his employee would question MC.

They all wanted to tell MC, to reach out and hold MC, but understood that maybe it was for the best.

Until one day MC fell asleep at the local library.

Sometimes the rest of the RFA would be at the library to watch MC and to make sure they were okay. Rarely did all 5 appear at the same time.

They sat around MC doing their "work", and stopped when they heard MC talk in their sleep.

"RFA, I have to help them... RFA..."

Zen left the chatroom.

You were dragged by a few friends and your hosting brother.

"Come on MC, all you do is study!" They whined until you conceded.

"Only for an hour. Then I'll go."

But no one took you serious.

Once at the club you got the feeling of being watched, but it made sense since you were a foreigner.

"This your first time here?" You sat on the stool across from the bar keep, smelling the alcohol and sweat from the people around you.

"That obvious?" You told the barkeep how it was your first time at any club. He gave you advice: "Relax. Just drink this and dance."

After the first song and dance, you felt it. You felt the calmness and the wave of letting go.

Surprisingly, you were asked to dance a lot. First it was a pretty lady with glasses and short pixie hair. It was fun and you laughed. But it left you longing for coffee.

Then it was a handsome guy who you think you've seen on TV and plays before. He was tall and had a flare for the dramatics, initiating a dance with a rose.

Sometime after, a business looking man offered you his hand. He twirled you and danced with you to a different beat. His aura screamed: CEO.

Soon after, it was the guy from your classes. He was surprised to run into you and you wondered why you never bothered to talk to him much.

Finally, it was the bar keep. All save the red hair. He looked like the barkeep but with red hair and glasses that were unique. You felt this sudden need to drink PhD Pepper and some Buddah chips, something you were told to avoid.

After all the dancing, your friends joked, asking you how you got good looking people to dance with you and only you.

You shrugged and drank water by the gallons.

"MC?" A tap on the shoulder startled you.

"You have been requested to the VIP section. This way"

You eyed your friends who yelled at you with encouragement. Joking about how you'll for sure have fun now.

"Enjoy," the security man opened a door for you leading into a karaoke room full of the people you danced with.

"What's going on?" You felt a headache appear as it did when you'd stare at cats, LOLOL, roses, wine, fireworks, coffee, honey buddah chips, and cigarettes.

Your classmate stood up to you.

"This."

"A karaoke match?"

"No. Just look please."

You turned to the karaoke screen, flashes of you smiling and dancing in dresses swarmed the screen.

You laughing with the lady covered in flour and drinking coffee.

You with a pretty white cat with blue eyes as some guy puts on her a collar with a bell on it.

You cheering at some guys performance, jumping and clapping but elated while holding a bouquet of flowers.

You with your classmate at a kitchen table doing homework together but asleep on the open textbooks instead.

And you driving a nice expensive car while a red headed man is laughing and holding onto the seats tightly.

Then there is you in the middle, between these people, posing for a portrait.

Pictures of you hugging them, kissing them, celebrating with them, crying with them.

"You... you guys..." You cry.

"Do you remember us?"

You turn to them and while wipping your tears ask:

As you were talking with Jaehee, an immense pain started soaring through you.

You started to scream in pain, alarming the mom, ofc

Somehow, you stumbled into the bathroom, to see your eye all red and swollen.

At the party: the RFA asks you what happened to your eye, which you cannot answer.

As he was about the answer, the lights dimmed and shone on the stage.

After his speech, you both laughed because of the same injury.

Her world was always colorless, and she had just about given up finding anyone capable of loving her

Until you came in the chatroom

She was wary at first. Not just because you were a total stranger, but that she didn’t see the normal greys and whites.

She saw faded colours. Colours that had hues and pigments, which honestly scared her.

The more you and her talked, the brighter both of your worlds became.

At the party, though, was where it really was at.

Jumin; red string of fate

As Jumin’s father always dated many women, he felt that the string around his finger was useless, and he tried to cut it off. Luckily, V stopped him.

“Jihyun, it’s not important.”

“Yes it is. Trust me, okay?”

“Fine.”

Throughout his life, he never sought to find out its destination, rather expecting his soulmate to come to him.

When you come to his apartment, however, he notices the string becomes more taught, like you’re just another room away.

And you are. Just outside the door.

“It’s you.”

“It’s me.”

“No, I mean, it’s you.” Jumin grasps your hand and you both stare at the ribbon in between.

“I never thought that this day would come…”

“Well, it did.”

He smiles a beautiful smile and brings you into his dwelling.

Somehow, he gets even more possessive, but you try to work with him.

“No, kitten, I need you here, where you’ll be safe.”

The string slacks as you pull away, it becoming longer and longer as your relationship strains.  

He sighs. “Let’s work together, MC. Just know that I want the best for you.”

“I know you do. But I also know that locking me here won’t help you better yourself either,” you say, cupping his cheek.

One night, a quick rap at the door awoke you from your slumber. Then, you heard it slowly creak open.

“SHh. It’s just me.”

“Saeyoung?”

“Yeah.”

“Why are you here?” you rubbed your eyes.

I’m here to protect you. “Because there’s a bomb here. It would be easier for me to be here if the hacker comes.”

He’s so cute. “I’ll try to protect you too, okay?”

He blinked. “You think I’m cute?”

Your face turned as red as his hair. “W-What? N-No.”

In the car ride to the cabin, y’all literally just have a mental conversation without saying anything while you listen in on the RFA party.

“I’m glad to have met you.”

“AH, MC! Why are you being so loud?!”

“I AM TALKING LIKE A NORMAL PERSON.”

“But we HAVE TELEPATHIC POWERS NOW.”

“I wanted to hear your voice out loud,” you shrug.

Cue Saeyoung blush. She’s so cute. I love her.

“I love you too.”

V; important events in your life brings background music, finding your love brings romantic tunes

“Ray, where is V? What’s Rika going to do to him?”

“Don’t worry about him! Pay attention to me! ..that traitor.”

Seven finds you, and you both search for V

He’s in the dungeon, and y’all basically smuggle him out, drugged as he is.

He’s barely coming to, but he utters one word: “Music?”

Seven looks back at you questioningly, “The radio is off.”

“I hear it too. It’s romantic sounding.” you look down at V, “It’s you, isn’t it?”

V nods off as you reach the cabin where Vanderwood is waiting.

2 years later

“Another party, I’m impressed, MC,” Jumin congratulates.

“It’s too bad you and V never hit it off, amirite?” Seven nudges you.

“I just wanted him to be happy and healthy,” you shrug.

“You are too kind, as always,” Jumin shakes his head.

The members leave to attend to their duties, while you stay back and watch the hustle and bustle.

Suddenly, soft, romantic music starts playing.

Can it be?

A voice calls out. “I’ve been waiting for this moment.”

You smile softly “...Me too. V.”

“It’s Jihyun, now. I’ve missed you so much...MC..”

As soon as Saeran (Unknown Saeran) came in, the air was completely different.

But somehow, he felt more at peace...which he hatED

“Saeran, you’re not allowed in there, Savior’s orders,” a believer said.

When Ray came back for that short while, he couldn’t get anything else out other than apologies, and you shushed him and held him softly.

He sniffed one more time, and wiped his tears, running out of the room.

The elixir wasn’t working because he had found another; you. You were healing him from the inside out.

Rika hadn’t noticed until the real Saeran came back.

At the cabin, he always wished to stay close to you, and you him.

Even when you both went to therapy he always thought you would heal him just fine, but you urged the talk sessions.

Eventually, he did see the benefit and started to go regularly without complaint.

Yoosung, who is focused on finding tasty and nutritious food, asks you your opinion on something

Yoosung ended up following you out of the store, because he was too worried. You didn’t notice him until he opened the car door 

“MC, w-whats wrong?!”

“D-Don’t look at me!” you hide your face in your knees, and he gets in the car and leans over to you

“What happened? Did I do something? MC-”

“If I t-tell you, you might leave me… It’s really bad…”

He frowns, and pulls you into his arms, “I wouldn’t leave you for the world.”
