Just started rune factory Guardians of Azuma.
I went into this expecting it to be buggy, its towns/backgrounds/feilds to be kinda empty and generally to feel like an unfinished game since most new nintendo games feel lile that....
But im barely in it, the black dragon just left some spores and Iroha is crying about cutting down the tree and going "no you cant!"
Which is a good dramatic responce.... except they talked about it like 10 - 20 minutes of gameplay earlier and while she was against it, she was a lot less caring. Like 'aww youre gonna cut it down? You shouldnt, Thats to bad you" kinda vibes.
But she seems shocked here.
If they didnt add that earlier scene, or her responce was just a but different/tone was different or even if the animation was... like actually moving, then this scene could have been more impactful. Like it seems like it wants to be.
All the other lackluster stuff i figured would happen im already seeing as well.
The dialouge is the most upsetting to me, its.. its so weird. Its just kinda off. Like it makes sense but doesnt quite fit. And for a rune factory game? Oof.
If this game had more time to develop and more money put into it i think it could have been really really cool.
Anyways im gonna keep playing, i like the chsracter designs, i like the dragons and the weird comedic sheep dragon guy. Its cool Hina's joiningnthe game, i look forward to meeting other characters and the story seems cool. Like its such an appealing idea and look and l i think there was love put jntk this... i just wish it could have been developed more thoroughly
