random cute thought. What if, mabey sometime before rocket meets groot and he has his own (stolen) ship, he gets a flerken stowaway. At first rocket does everything in his power to shake it, tries to leave it behind on diffrent planets he stops at but the flerken somehow finds its way back on the ship before takeoff everytime. This continues like routine for CYCLES until one day the flerkin returns to the ship battered like it got into a fight and rocket "begrudgingly" tends to its wounds. Or he notices the flerking isnt back yet when it usually is and rocket "begrudgingly" goes to look for it incase it got into trouble (like jolie in windows did). Afterwards, he still acts as if the flerken is still just an annoying stowaway he can't stand but everyone else can tell that they have a bond. I can imagine the flerking perched on his shoulders or sleeping curled up on rockets lap while he pretends the flerken isn't there but petting it when no one's looking. 🥹

let me be honest at first i was like “but… ivy.” then literally two seconds of thinking had me imagining harley + the skottie-young-rocket specifically running around holding hands with oversized weapons (i honestly should’ve doodled rocket with a goddamn bazooka here - that gun is way too modest) and blowing shit up together. plus rocket deserves a love like harley’s and harley deserves someone who treats her like rocket would. geezus christ they’d be an absolute menace to the universe. i love it.

i honestly feel like rocket would react like this the first time he wore boots (sometime before endgame, i guess?). i personally think he probably prefers to be barefoot, but he has to admit there are benefits to protecting his toes when he's hauling around big-ass guns and engine equipment, or blowing shit up. plus i think he feels like he's taken more seriously when he wears shoes.

as comfy as they are, there's nothing serious about crocs.

which is why rocket only wears the child-sized pair pete sent him when he's alone in his knowhere apartment.
