🌲🌹 Rosegarden Week 2023! 🌹🌲

RWBY Vol 9 is around the corner and so is the start of ROSEGARDEN WEEK!

RG Week will commence on ✨April 3 - April 9!✨

In the past we’ve hosted different ways to involve our blooming community, either by sending in your prompts and voting or having you all share your prompt lists. This time around we wanted to present a list of prompts that are inspired by Vol 9. We hope this sparks some creative ideas and hype for the upcoming season, along with bringing some unity to the RWBY FNDM.

Remember to use the hashtag #RGWeek2023 and tag us at @rosegardenweek​, so everyone can easily find your work. We can’t wait to see what creative works you’ll create!

Birthday Surprise

Oscar paced the room back and forth as he thought of a gift to give Ruby for her birthday. Team RWBY was recently made full fledge huntresses by Ironwood. Oscar had missed the party since he was needed to guard the lamp and talk to Ironwood.

At first, talking to James made him uncomfortable, but after a while, he had warmed up to his socially awkward demeanor. He found friendship with the general and quickly learned they had few things in common.

Both enjoy reading, puzzles, and more mind-stimulating activities.

"You know, Ozpin wouldn't fret this much over giving a gift." Said Ironwood as he sat at his desk.

Winter stood beside his desk and watched Oscar pace back and forth through the room.

"I-I know...but I am not Ozpin. " Said Oscar as he held the gift in his hand.

" I see." Said the general.

Winter suddenly coughed.

" Oh.... umm....You should not be nervous. I am sure she will understand.. your feelings." Ironwood said nervously and awkwardly.

Oscar began to blush slightly.

Winter coughed again, more aggressively this time.

"This is such a bad idea." said Oscar to himself as he started freaking out when suddenly the door opened.

He quickly placed the gift behind his back and watched as Ruby walked into the room with the rest of her team.

" Oscar?" Said Ruby in confusion as she saw him standing in front of Ironwood's desk.

Oscar awkwardly waves and grins.

" Oh? Hey Oscar." Said Yang as she tried to lighten the mood.

" Ironwood coughed awkwardly. Oscar quickly shuffled out of the way and let Ironwood speak. Ironwood started discussing Team RWBY's next mission, which would help bring amity to life. After he was done explaining the plan, Weiss, Blake, and Yang walked out of the room as Ruby waved goodbye to Oscar.

Winter glared at him menacingly. Oscar quickly mustered up the courage and called her name.

Ruby turned around, and Oscar quickly extended out his hand.

Ruby looked at his hand and saw a rectangular shape gift in his hand.

" I remember the story you told me about your dad reading you this story. I am constantly at Atlas Academy, so I thought it wouldn't be bad to leave for a bit and explore the city. " Said Oscar as he placed his hands behind his back and lowered his head.

Ruby took the package from him and slowly began opening it.

" I know...you mentioned it in passing, but I thought it would be nice to have. Your dad always said this story reminded him of your mother, Summer, right? " He spoke softly and kept his head lowered.

Ruby's eyes widened as she realized what story she was holding in her hand.

"This is..."

The story was called " The Warrior In The Woods. "

" I wasn't able to attend the ceremony where you guys officially became huntresses, so I....just thought this would be nice. Plus, today is your birthday."

Ruby quickly grabbed Oscar and gave him a hug. The gesture caught Oscar by surprise, and he wrapped his arms around Ruby gently.

"Thank you. This is perfect." She said as she released him and smiled.

Oscar nodded and smiled and watched Ruby walk out of the room.

I felt bad for not posting anything for one of my fave ship's weeks, so I decided to post this sketchy version of my "dream" drawing for day 2 (it's day 3 for me but ahahahh all my drawing are gona go against the days so)

For clarification, Oscar and Ruby are aged up and married at this point, he's sleeping besides her but I suck at drawing beds and people laying, also it's really sketchy sorry xd. Oscar's part of the nightmare is probably where he got his eye injured , from my old Oscar drawings.
