He ordered his servant to strengthen the bandages on his arm injury. Reckless or not, he had to sign up for the tournament and join it. He had all the fun in the world on the battlefield, but the soldiers he had faced were not always the best. He wanted to go up against real masters. He wanted a real competition, recognition and a prize. When they would see him in the streets or during war, people would fear and would remember him as a great one that could tear them up to pieces. For that, however, he had to make sure that his bandages around his injury lasted battle and that his pain (that he barely felt) would not become a weakness for his opponent. That was why he decided to have his other arm bandaged up so that his advisory would believe that it was simply combat attire.
The young prince waited for his shot at glory. From the lodges, he could watch the various opponents fighting. He could see the victorious contestant obliterate his opponent and squish him. That gave him ideas in how he was going to end each of his rounds. In style. He was going to win, and he felt it in his heart. A human came to bring him down to the bleachers because his fight was an upcoming one. He started to imagine his opponent and he hoped that he would duel a strong one. He would love to be up against a trained cuspian of the Duuri army. They seemed pretty strong since they were trained to hone their unique skills unlike those he had come across.
It was a not expected and unpleasant twist of event that he had to face a girl when his turn came. He wished that he could have switched opponents, but the rules were clear. Since they wanted him to follow the rules, he was going to make sure that she would be unable to walk, and, hopefully, ceased to walk completely, because her bones could no longer heal. He raised his arms and hid his face behind his knuckles ready to engage the other female who at least looked twenty-five. Might had more experience in tournaments as well, but he was to end her.
“I won’t be gentle on you,” he let out. “You won’t be able to use your sex as an excuse later on female.”
