Because what I needed on top of waves hand in general direction of surroundings was my laptop deciding to give out. New laptop acquired posthaste, but now I get to spend my break times from everything else setting everything back up the way it "ought" to be because my capacity for handling change gracefully is already maxed out.

(sort of) stress-spinning my way through half a braid as I try to finish that half before I have to pack my wheel up for some time (I know I can take the bobbin off to transport the wheel, I just don't like the idea of pulling a bobbin-in-progress off the wheel bc I'm terrible at finding ends that I haven't knotted.

my cat: I must sleep upon your lap. right now.

thankfully, he tolerates the treadling or otherwise we'd have a lot tenser time negotiating this napping.
