A serrated steal blade tip was placed against one end of Alister’s fingers, being dangled by a lose two finger grip to it’s handle. Her leg was dangled over the side of a rather large chair, the other planted firmly on the ground. She was mad. Her face expressionless, her lips parted in preparation to speak when the door opened and the light switch was brushed and flipped on.

“Hey.” The brunette said through the dead silence, “Long day?”

Thena held the gun up and pointed. She didn’t care- frankly it felt good. Whatever had come over her…. was rather freeing. She grinned as she pulled the safety off and shot.

Bam.

One echoing blast shot through the target on the tree. Whatever she had woken up to this morning wasn’t Thena, and yet- it was. The inner goddess. The killer that thirsted for revenge on the cards she had been dealt.

A noise behind her- a breaking branch- jolted her out of her trance. She looked at the person in front of her and sighed out, “Did I shoot your favorite tree?”

He couldn’t move. Why couldn’t he move? He hadn’t had that much to drink had he? No. At least he didn’t think so… Honestly he couldn’t remember much except Rhys, oh Rhys… Rhys. That was why. Slowly he opened his eyes and turned his head to the side to face his lover. That was about as much room as he had to maneuver. The fighter’s massive arm was draped around his shoulders and their legs were intertwined. Jack was a twig compared to Rhys, and while the Brit wasn’t bulky by any means, he certainly wasn’t a twig.

“Babe…” he grumbled trying to lift the dead weight off of him. “Rhys… Rhys love, can’ you get off me?” He laughed. No initial response, so the younger male pressed back against him knowing that if Rhys couldn’t feel the pressure on his arm, he couldn’t certainly feel it between his legs. “Baby…” he cooed, placing soft kisses along the skin before him. “Wake up…”

“What is this? A surprise...” Biting down on her lip as she gently took the small silk jewlery box into her hands Amari eyed it suspiciously, giving it a little shake.  They had been out, celebrating the opening of her new club and even though she had promised her dad she would focus more on work (less on fucking the help), she was as usual. Being a stubborn brat. “It is...a key? Okay I’m confused.” Raising a brow as she looked at him she wrinkled her nose, suddenly not so distracted by the half naked women and piles of money around them. “I hope this is not a key to what I think it is a key too because we both know my father wasn’t kidding about tossing you out of a window.”

“Hello?” She could hardly hear, the sounds from the club blaring through her phone was she busied herself, at home, rocking her very sick and very cranky daughter back and forth. “No...no Jaz I can’t come in tonight Jo is sick. Yea she caught an ear infection from daycare. No...I...what?” Frowning as she listened she silently began to shake her head, unsure if she was fully understanding. “So he is there and he asked you to call me? Well what is he doing? Just sitting there? Okay. Hand him the phone Jaz this will take two seconds.” Managing to soothe the one year old enough to place her on her bed Phoenix took a step back, slowly turning to head into the kitchen as she listened for the male voice on the other line. “...What in the hell are you doing at my club and why are you making a complete scene?” Her voice was trickled with mild annoyance but more than anything she was amused. Her cheeks having flushed a deep shade of red. “I had to skip out of work tonight my daughter is sick. I am stuck at home playing nurse which is why you shouldn’t just pop up every three months or whatever. Look. Either you can get a dance from someone else or not. If you are that bummed out however you can always find your way here. I could use another set of hands.” She was kidding of course but biting her lip as the words left her mouth she knew better than to make an offer to Rhys even if it was a joke. He was one of the good guys after all.

No More Games ✖ Jays

Jack was pissed. He wouldn’t admit it, but he was. By the time the conversation had ended, he’d realized exactly what Rhys was trying to do and he was furious with the guy. If Rhys wanted to know if he liked him, or if he liked Jack, he should just fucking say it, not play games with him.

He threw some shit together and got in his car, smoking a spliff on the way up to calm his nerves. It helped a little, but by the time he reached Rhys’ door he was still angry at what the other had done. He didn’t bring Finnis in his irritation, but by the time he was half way there he regretted it. That only got worse when he opened the door and the other pups jumped on him. “’ey, ‘ey guys, Finnis is at ‘ome, sorry.”

He wasn’t surprised to find Rhys on the sofa playing games and for whatever reason the sight only enraged him all over again. For the second time recently he walked over and wrenched the headset and controller from Rhys’ grasp and tossed them on the floor, but this time he just stood before the other fuming. “I like you okay? Is da wha’ you wan’ed me to say? That I don’ like you liking ofa people an’ that I don’ wan’ ta jus’ be ya friend? Fuckin’ ask me Rhys, don’ play games.”

“Okay.... Cards out on the table...” Harley looked Mason over as the rain poured down in front of her. They stood outside the coffee shop in the rain, night falling. “I know exactly who you are... but I don’t think you remember me.”
